I’m actually not that excited about her solo music to be fair.

Her voice has never been my favourite

It wouldn’t surprise me if she had some crazy heavy choreo Sweet Melody style track..

 

I’m so disappointed with her tbh and I agree I bet she drops it on LM’s anniversary!

 

She has every right to still work with people she felt comfortable working with, plus Jesy's always been an amazing dancer so it was obvious she'd have a choreo heavy video.

 

I get people dislike her, but I think she seems better off on her own and the girls are flourishing as a trio. I'm happy they are all happy doing their own things.

 

Plus there is always going to be some sort of connection in the music industry.

 

I do also hope that her new song does not come out on the same week as their 10 year anniversary.

Why should she not work with people that’s she’s worked with for years and people who’s she’s likely comfortable and friends with ? :huh:

Where’s the Soul, R&B it’s pretty obvious it’s going to be a pop bop exactly what she’s always moaned about!

LM5 is more urban and the sound Jesy preferred, so it's not a surprise she's working with those people, she shouldn't be cut off from working with people she's comfortable with and worked with in the past just because she's not in LM anymore.

 

I don't think you can complain about the genre of music when we haven't even heard more than 10 seconds of a song yet, I just feel like people are attacking her for anything at this moment.

 

Also a tiny clip that Jesy teased a month or two ago definitely sounded more R&B.

 

Not trying to argue at all, it just seems you're unhappy she's left and you're attacking her music before it has even came out.

 

Aslong as she's happy with the music she's putting out, that is the main thing. I just feel like the constant attacks on Jesy are too much - i'm not directing this solely at you, more so those on Twitter.

I want to support but i'm slightly nervous there's going to be a few digs in her lyrics and its been hinted she might be dropping her song on LM anniversary date. Hopefully neither of those things happen but I can understand people not wanting to get overly excited about this

Well it doesn't seem she is, give her a break guys - people are jumping on her based on hypothetical situations.

She’s not releasing on their anniversary though, so far people are saying September. However I do think they will release around the same time since the girls have something coming in September too.

Also, the description is fine. I wasn’t expecting anything but visuals and choreo. Normani seems to build up a fan base using that model.

At the end of the day the poor girl was unhappy and if this is what makes her happy then she should do whatever it is she has to! I wish her luck, if she comes out with something good I'm sure she will smash it, will be interesting to see if she can keep it going though as no ex girlband member has really been able to sustain their success.

 

It's such a shame she didn't feel she could go on for another year though and make it to 10 years to round it all off. I mean she deserves that Best British Band Brit award, and she (rightfully so) is in the wax work etc. With the upcoming Greatest Hits would have been a great way to round it all off and then the remaining three girls continue if they wish to do so.

I absolutely hate myself for thinking this, but is my whole approach to her solo career… It saddens me that I can’t help it, but I have been really put off Jesy since she left the band.
