Adele is not as big as she used to be. I think Lizzo is probably the biggest one now.

Love it

How is P!nk in 2nd place when I didn't expect to see her even in the top 10?

And they certainly didn’t add ASIB to Gaga’s bag (the only market in the world that chose to make this nonsense shit, since they even recognize Evita for Madonna when she didn’t contribute even half of what Gaga contributed to ASIB ) because with this album, she would be well above just #10.

Not sure how they worked that out really, should be on about 5.25m.

i agree, no way she made those additional sales!!

Mathematics.

Pink has released 8 studio albums and a Greatest Hits all bar one cleared 400k and four cleared a million with one not so far behind.

Not thinking Pink would be top 10 is quite ridiculous given her consistency over the past 20 years.

It's because when I think of P!nk I always think of her two best albums: I'm Not Dead & Funhouse, and that's it, also that she's been around for a long time. :arrr:

But surely her being around a long time would mean it’s not surprising to see her in this list?

Career time =/= records sold.

Career time =/= records sold.

It still seems quite ignorant to assume that an artist who has been in the limelight for 20 years with no significant flops would have not sold many records.

Ignorance is pretending that Try This and Hurts 2B Human weren't major flops. "I'm Not Dead" is not called that way for any reason, she had to remind the public that she was still making music. :arrr:

It’s ignorance to say that you didn’t expect the most consistent selling female artist of the century to come into the top 10 in this list. Either ignorance or going in for a petty attack against an artist you don’t like.

Say what you will, but Try This has decent sales and Hurts 2B Human did well for the year it was released. Trying to drag two of her albums doesn’t diminish what she’s accomplished and the sales of the other six alone would have meant she’d still make this top 10.

Hurts 2B Human was a flop but it performed pretty much the same as Chromatica.

The world isn't limited to the UK and it has been debated here that it's nowhere near fair to compare the sales of an album released without a pandemic with another released in a pandemic.

You already started telling lies, because I like P!nk

Try This has very low sales for an album released in 2003, and its situation is even worse when compared to the sales of her peers' albums released at the same time (In The Zone, Dangerously in Love, The Diary of Alicia Keys, Feels like Home, Under My Skin, Stripped, Breakaway...), and the only countries where Hurts 2B Human did well was Australia (what a surprise) and UK, in the rest of the world, this album bombed hard.

You say you’re a fan but are determined to put her down at every turn.

Face the facts. Pink is the second biggest album selling solo female of the century in the UK which is what this thread is about. Not realising she would be top 10 after a successful two decades is ignorance on your part. You’ve yet to come up with a satisfying reason why she wouldn’t be in the top 10.

I’m not comparing her success to anyone else’s, I’m just giving facts that contribute to Pink being in this list. But you do what you need to.

I didn't say I'm a P!nk fan, I just said that I like her. The only reason I said I didn't expect her to be in the Top 10 is because she was never the hottest singer in the media, she sold well during her career, but she never sold her image as a controversial pop star like Madonna, Britney and Gaga (which catches my eye), she was just doing her thing.

She's the Halsey of her generation: easy pop-rock sound for ears and radio and a private life. This isn't to say that being controversial is a prerequisite for every popstar, but I like the ones that take the most risk.

Well it’s a good job your taste doesn’t impact this list. Still very flimsy reasoning and in a way still ignorance of the facts. I do think comparing Pink to Halsey is a reach.
