I was looking through histories for my own & thought this might be an interesting topic to share on.

In mine as of now, March 2021:

• Despite having 20 chart entries since 2008, Adele has never had a #1 for me. Her closest were Chasing Pavements (#5), randomly Cold Shoulder (#7) - which I don't think I've revisited for about a decade, and Take It All (#8)
• Alt-J have had 16 entries and 6 top 5s but no #1
• None of Fifth Harmony, who I rank together, have had a #1, either within the group or among the individual solo artists, although they've racked up 31 entries. Although in their defence they only have 3 top 5s - two from Camila and one from Ally Brooke

Ellie Goulding is definitely my most notable - 13 top 10 hits but never higher than #2 (with Sixteen). Interestingly, PRETTYMUCH are next up with 9 top 10s, the biggest being #2 hit No More. Paloma Faith has 8 top 10s, the biggest being #2 with Only Love Can Hurt Like This, while Meghan Trainor has 7 top 10 hits with no #1s either, the highest being #3 with NO and Nice to Meet Ya.

 

There are others that I've loved for many years and my chart only covers a small part of their career, like All Saints for example. Meanwhile, MARINA's never even had a top 5 hit for me yet which feels quite surprising!

Well thanks to the rate reminding me but Coldplay never did although I'm sure 'Paradise' would have done had I had my chart around in 2011/12

 

I think Rihanna hasn't topped mine ever either and I guess as far as the last decade goes Ariana hasn't neither but only starting coming around to liking her music more from 2016!

PinkPantheress (11 top 10s / 17 top 40s, highest peak is #3 for Reason, Where You Are (neither of which are my favourites by her!), and Angel)

Conan Gray (9 top 10s / 13 top 40s, highest peak is #3 for Maniac and Heather)

 

I'm a bit overly generous with #1s so most of my favourites have one by now!
