Hello and welcome to the landmark 15th edition of everyone's favourite song contest! (At least I don't think there's another one?). We are thrilled to be bringing this to you again after by some freak occurrence, we didn't finish second in one of these last time, and yes, you are reading that right, we are going CLASSICAL this time. A style of music very close to my own heart and which always sounds all the better when combined with modern dance music.

Now this one is a little more complex to define, but essentially we're looking for any song within the genre of dance that prominently features a classical instrument, now there are hundreds of these, so I'll break it down to the main types that are easiest to find:

- Piano (Classical piano and not house piano, that's too easy and is not in line with the theme. Basically like

, not
)

- Strings (Very common, Violin, Cello, Fiddle...you name it)

- Woodwind (Flute, clarinet and perhaps most commonly, Saxophone)

- Percussion (Drums technically count, but again they need to be prominent and not just a quick beat at the start, other ones could be Bongos, Maracas & Glockenspiel etc.)

- Brass (ie. Trumpets, but also Trombone, Tuba and French Horn are good if you can find them!)

But really any classical instrument is fine, if you know an obscure one from another country, then that's even better. There is so many (though exclude guitars from that list as we've had a spin-off devoted to them), so you shouldn't find it too hard. The reason I thought of this theme was cos of how many there were popping up in that other song contest earlier this year! Whatever you use, you must confirm the instrument in the Google form below, to allow for us not to have to listen to everything to determine whether it's appropriate x

We are looking for inspired music here that fits the theme and all submissions will be vetted by the Dance mods so don't go cheap and check how it sounds before you send. Ideally it shouldn't have been a chart hit at the very least. If you are not sure, it's best to confirm anyway and we'll get back to you if you need to change.

Anyway, that's enough writing, please confirm your entry via this link. This is an anonymous contest, so please do not share or hint at what you are sending. Anyone is welcome to enter, no matter how long you've been here.

You have a week to do this, the deadline is April 3rd at 23:59 BST, and that includes a bank holiday in there so should be plenty of time!

Any questions please ask, but otherwise, let's get classical *.

Here for this theme
As per usual I don’t know where to begin with a theme like this. I will already call FrankLuck the winner of this contest, he knows how to find niche songs with classical productions.

is a nice playlist I came across which might point you in the right direction (some of them might be off so be cautious)

It may seem a bit obscure and I suppose your mileage may vary, but the two styles have become quite closely linked over the years.

Alright this really reminds me of a song I liked last year so I gotta go with that

the way I thought this is going to be an easy decision :cheeseblock:

I have three potentials (sax, strings and classical)!!!

Alas, we do have one now

Please try and avoid well known names that were critical/blog hits like this as it likely won't pass!

This theme had to come up eventually! I am generally a big fan of the string-infused dance entries in BJSC so hype ~

Probably expect my entry circa the final day of confirmations based on my recent form x

This and we didn't feel there was a prominent actual instrument apart from the last 30 seconds

Grandbrothers would've been perfect for this had I not just used them for BJSC last month, I've got something else great anyhow.
