April 4, 20214 yr I think reason they don't mention Hypeman on Friday is because he isn't featured on the Official Charts website info on the song.
April 4, 20214 yr Ugh Friday is so awful, I'm all for Dance doing well when it's actually good but this is trash.
April 4, 20214 yr 2 Lil Nas X - MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) 1 Nathan Evans, 220 KID & Billen Ted - Wellerman
April 4, 20214 yr I don't really mind Friday, it's hardly amazing and not worthy of #1 status but it's not utterly terrible either. I actually find the completely pointless remix of Rasputin more irritating.
April 4, 20214 yr The power of Amazon on First Look. I wish this was the official chart! Edited April 4, 20214 yr by Jason
April 4, 20214 yr Assuming missing streaming data is a major factor here. I think Lil Nas X will get a second week.
April 4, 20214 yr More likely to be the result of Amazon reporting their streaming data on time (MONTERO is only #55 there) I can see the top 4 changing later in the week, if sales are tight. with Friday dropping back to #5
April 4, 20214 yr I don't really mind Friday, it's hardly amazing and not worthy of #1 status but it's not utterly terrible either. I actually find the completely pointless remix of Rasputin more irritating. I find the remix of Rasuptin catchy.
April 4, 20214 yr Assuming missing streaming data is a major factor here. I think Lil Nas X will get a second week. It always is in First Look - typically it'll have 2 days of Amazon data but only 1 of Spotify, YouTube and Apple, so anything suffering on Amazon (MONTERO and particularly Peaches) would be lower than expected. I'd be gobsmacked if MONTERO wasn't #1 quite comfortably by Friday! edit: Wellerman just 500 ahead, and Lil Nas X is 700 ahead of Riton, according to the OCC
April 4, 20214 yr Nathan Evans’ Wellerman ft. 220 Kid and Billen Ted is taking on Lil Nas X’s Montero (Call Me By Your Name) for this week’s Number 1 single following the latter’s tight Number 1 debut. Wellerman is in the lead on today’s First Look but it’s set to be another close race, with the two tracks just 500 chart sales apart after 48 hours. Riton x Nightcrawlers’ Friday ft. Mufasa & Hypeman stands just another 700 chart sales behind at Number 3, giving the track an opportunity to take the lead over the next few days. Joel Corry, Raye and David Guetta could earn a place in this week’s Top 5, as BED climbs two places to Number 5. If it holds on it will become Joel’s third Top 5 hit, Raye’s second and David Guetta’s 14th. Ava Max flies up six with My Head & My Heart, setting course for a new peak at Number 13, and finally, Leave The Door Open by Silk Sonic rises six places to Number 17, potentially landing the Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak project a new peak by Friday’s chart. April 4, 20214 yr 500 sales in it... Wellerman won't stay at #1, but may just get an increase to avoid ACR for another 3 weeks.
April 4, 20214 yr I assume the chart update will be Tuesday and not tomorrow as it’s a bank holiday? Yup
April 4, 20214 yr I find the remix of Rasuptin catchy. It's catchy because the original is catchy. The remix adds absolutely nothing and shouldn't exist on charts. Anyway, how on earth is Peaches #4, surely will be #3 at least on Friday, if not #2 even. EDIT. Ah explained above, thanks Edited April 4, 20214 yr by Sour Candy
April 4, 20214 yr I think by Friday it will look something like this, pure guess work. I can't make up my mind between Bed and Wellerman as only a snippet of Wellerman was played on Ant & Dec last night, most likely Wellerman at #4. 1 MONTERO 2 Peaches 3 Bed/ Wellerman 4 Wellerman/ Bed 5 Friday Oh well, we shall know more on Tuesday...
April 4, 20214 yr On a different note I know some of you are wondering where is the sales topic for last week, just want to address it in here, we actually didn't get anything from MW due to a public holiday, I know in the past we had them on a Friday during the Easter break, it is still on my radar, if anything comes along a chart mod or myself will post if it becomes available otherwise we have to do without one for a week. Just thought I shed some light on it. Sorry guys.
April 4, 20214 yr Really frustrating that Bieber will most likely end up peaking at no2, both for the album and a single from this campaign. After that appalling last album I think he deserved a number 1 from this.
April 4, 20214 yr A bit late but very happy to hear Astronaut In The Ocean played on the First Look show for the first time! Yeh quite the slow burner for me!
