April 4, 20214 yr It's catchy because the original is catchy. The remix adds absolutely nothing and shouldn't exist on charts. Anyway, how on earth is Peaches #4, surely will be #3 at least on Friday, if not #2 even. EDIT. Ah explained above, thanks One thing it does do is introduce a new generation to Boney M I guess!
April 4, 20214 yr I was disappointed not to hear Mimi Webb on the first look tonight her song has grown on me a lot. I also expected body to make it as well, I’m not a fan of it tbh but it’s doing so well on Spotify and Apple.
April 4, 20214 yr Presumably 'Body' is another one that is not doing as well on Amazon and will climb over the week.
April 4, 20214 yr Really frustrating that Bieber will most likely end up peaking at no2, both for the album and a single from this campaign. After that appalling last album I think he deserved a number 1 from this. Typically speaking, the out the gate success of a new album will be strongly influenced by the popularity of the previous one. Not often immediate to win back audience trust.
April 5, 20214 yr Typically speaking, the out the gate success of a new album will be strongly influenced by the popularity of the previous one. Not often immediate to win back audience trust. Though Changes had a far lower opening tally than Purpose which was his biggest album to date! Justice outdid that despite Changes being panned and not exactly having an amazing chart run, and is already holding up better, so I think Justin's very much going against what you'd expect recently.
April 5, 20214 yr I think in the case of Bieber, her label/manager learnt from the mistakes of the last album and corrected them and set it all up to have a good era, better songs, lots of pre-album singles etc Scooter Braun might be evil (per Taylor) but he knows how to do his job
April 5, 20214 yr @1379163047441399811 Well, that exposure won't hurt! They've gone from sub-20k followers to 30k+ in a few minutes lol, the power of 1D
April 6, 20214 yr 1 The Snuts (1.1k ahead) 2 Demi Lovato 3 Dry Cleaning 6 David Bowie’s 97264th posthumous release 7 Fratellis 9 Lil Tjay 12 Bryan Ferry 33 Vaccines (re issue) Godspeed You Black Emperor are also top 40
April 6, 20214 yr Argh, I really hope The Snuts stay on top! Good to see Dry Cleaning in the top 3 as well
April 6, 20214 yr Author amazing for Dry Cleaning :o another left field post-punk band coming for a surprise top 5 album this year? Demi may have the best chance at #1 now with all the coloured CD/cassette bundles being pushed, I don't have much interest in either artist but it'd be quite impressive if The Snuts held on
April 6, 20214 yr let's hope for some sales info later, Bieber could still beat them if sales are low cannot imagine Demi selling that much even if she has 4 different CDs and 3 cassettes
April 6, 20214 yr Dry Cleaning :o I literally discovered 'Scratchcard Lanyard' yesterday and enjoyed how weird but wonderful it was, go them!
