Olivia best not push out Ella Henderson and Tom Grennan.

That's exactly what's gonna happen, wait and see :(

Fully expecting Tom/Ella to end up with the dreaded #11 position. I hope they do manage to keep their position. Can’t see it staying high that much longer. Already exceeded what I imagine most people’s expectations were for it.
London Grammar are motoring towards a second consecutive No.1 albums chart finish, as this week’s Top 5 is flooded with new entries.

The band are in the lead with Californian Soil, which has moved 28,268 units so far. AJ Tracey is in second spot with Flu Game (7,570 sales), while The Offspring’s new album Let The Bad Times Roll is at No.3 with 5,373 sales. Imelda May’s 11 Past The Hour (4,508 sales) and Greta Van Fleet’s The Battle At Garden’s Gate (3,949 sales) complete a congested Top 5. With perennials from Dua Lipa and Harry Styles, plus recent records from Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift waiting in the wings, it remains to be seen whether the Top 5 will still be full of new albums come Friday.

Familiar names continue to dominate the singles chart, as Lil Nas X is still flying highest with Montero (Call Me By Your Name), which has 35,910 sales so far this week. Justin Bieber’s Peaches (27,595 sales), Joel Corry, Raye and David Guetta’s Bed (23,746 sales), Riton’s Friday (22,498 sales) and Polo G’s Rapstar (20,999 sales) round out the Top 5.

NO OTHER SALES INFO

Hope LG are on for 33-35k and AJ Tracey can break 10k, is there any competition next week or has LG got a chance of a second week which is unusual these days. I know Royal Blood should be a decent seller in the following week!

Tom Jones potentially?

Yeh true, he could be a big seller, I imagine off Amazon for physicals and in shops. Maybe not big preorders though?

LG only selling 2k a day so would be only 10k next week max anyway which is the norm for big preorder releases these days.

Tom Jones potentially?

I was just about to say that, Motorhead could be another potential if album sales are low, but its a Live album, so I doubt it

Tom Jones will probably have no problems getting to #1 given the lack of competition and his single getting a fair bit of R2 airplay. (although in a perfect world it'd be Porter Robinson going to #1)

Royal Blood, Rag'n'Bone Man, Paul Weller to continue the run of obvious #1s after that, then we have Olivia Rodrigo vs Twenty One Pilots which is a bit harder to call.

I imagine Michael Ball could pose a challenge to Rag'n'Bone Man that week?

I think I'd put my money on Twenty One Pilots, as they seem to have a more dedicated fanbase at this point. (especially if it comes down to midweek reducing)

I would be surprised if Rag n Boneman doesn’t got number one with decent sales as the new era has been well received and is getting huge support across the radio age groups.

I would agree with 21 Pilots as they are more a fan base act and radio 1 will support!

I'm sure Michael Ball will sell a fair bit but I don't see him getting close to out-doing RnB Man.

You're probably right about TOP, now that I look it up their last album did 29,835 first week which is more than I remember and that was without a proper hit single too, I don't see Olivia pulling those kinds of numbers and I imagine TOP have retained most of their fanbase since then.

And Then there's always the possibility that Taylor Swift just drops a new album out of nowhere.

Note: It looks like the OCC have realised Young Stoner Life is a compilation then, it is no longer top 40 in the albums chart.

I really don't get how they could have even gone as far as writing about it in their article about the midweek chart before changing their mind a couple of days later. :')

Accidentally created a whole new topic for this question haha, but why is Doo Wops & Holligans back in the top 40?
It's always been a steady trickle seller due to streaming points but the TikTok-given revival of one of its album tracks (Talking to the Moon) seems to have given it a boost
Dodie will do well on the Rag’n’Bone man/Michael Ball week too, top five with at least 7k I’d imagine.
