Posted April 18, 20214 yr THE COI TOP 40 - 16 April 2021 Astronaut In The Ocean could make it four weeks at number one for Masked Wolf but there is tough competition for the top spot this week as Will Sparks is hoping to climb after spending two weeks just behind, and there is a high new entry for Monolink with the Mind Against remix of his track The Prey being sent to BJSC 134. Following the sad passing of American rapper DMX last Friday, his iconic 2003 hit X Gon' Give It To Ya is in the top five, with Who We Be also appearing in this week's chart. The Sherlocks, Twenty One Pilots and Dave also have new entries, and Demi Lovato's track with Ariana Grande which just missed out last week does reach the top 40 this week. April 18, 20214 yr Ooh wasn't expecting to see The Sherlocks here! It's a good return from them, they killed a lot of their hype with the odd single choices for the second album in favour of other 'football indie' bands The Snuts, The Lathums etc and have had 50% of their members change but at least they're not giving up
April 19, 20214 yr Hey Coi! Stand By Me still slaying :o Drivers License is having a great run here. I'm absolutely loving it still. Hold On Slipping in its second week oops. That's a shame  I didn't think much of the album but I do really like this. Deja Vu :cheer: hopefully this'll climb at some point. Believe Me is so bad. I was really enjoying it at first but there really is nothing to the song :nocheer: Nice chart!
April 19, 20214 yr I haven't got around to hearing SF2 properly yet but your BJSC entry sounded intriguing from the preview. Good to have Dave back even if the songs are only throwaways, although I am preferring Titanium.
April 19, 20214 yr Hey Coi! :w00t: Wow, Stand By Me is killing it here *_* It's had a rebound on my chart this week - hoping it can sneak an entry in the Multichart in coming weeks! Nice to see Closer holding at #17 (a massive grower for me) and Met Him Last Night enter - the vocals on that whew!
April 20, 20214 yr X Gon Give It To ya peaked in my charts when Deadpool used it, great backdrop, or else I would have been charting it too. Best of Me top 10  Good to see Spaceships doing well too! Deja Vu, Let Me Hold You, Griff, Lana, also faves of mine :) So many I don;t know! That's why BJSC is so good for me, I hear stuff I'd never hear otherwise
April 24, 20214 yr Nice to see The Sherlocks so high up here! Climbing for me this week although not into my Top 40 yet. The Prey is a decent BJSC entry as well, in the top half of my rankings at the moment. Great chart :D
April 25, 20214 yr Hey there coi :hi:  My favourite new entries are towards the bottom of your chart this week - love both 'Met Him Last Night' and 'Mercury'! I think the former is the first Demi related song I've charted since 'Solo' in 2018. The two of them came together really well. 'Mercury' really grabbed me from the two new Dave songs, found 'Titanium' quite Dave-by-numbers, but yeah this one is lovely - looking forward to more at some point. Great to see Lana advancing to the top 10 also! Great chart ^_^
April 25, 20214 yr Author Ooh wasn't expecting to see The Sherlocks here! It's a good return from them, they killed a lot of their hype with the odd single choices for the second album in favour of other 'football indie' bands The Snuts, The Lathums etc and have had 50% of their members change but at least they're not giving up  I loved their first era so any kind of return to that sort of sound was probably going to do well here, agreed about being unimpressed by the singles from their last album but End of the Earth is exactly the sort of comeback I was hoping for! Hopefully they can get their radio support back too but I don't think there's been much for this so far. Hey Coi! Stand By Me still slaying :o Drivers License is having a great run here. Yes, still loving Stand By Me and drivers license! Hold On is still a pretty good effort from Bieber but it may well have peaked as soon as it entered here, deja vu isn't moving around much at all here and it has another week in a similar position coming up, but I'm surprised by that comment on Believe Me considering it just reached a new peak in your personal chart? It should be on its last week here anyway. I haven't got around to hearing SF2 properly yet but your BJSC entry sounded intriguing from the preview. Good to have Dave back even if the songs are only throwaways, although I am preferring Titanium. Hopefully you enjoyed it! I thought Titanium was fairly unremarkable by comparison but Mercury is pretty good, definitely looking forward to hearing more from him. Nice to see Closer holding at #17 (a massive grower for me) and Met Him Last Night enter - the vocals on that whew! It is indeed, although I think it's going to have to live with that #2 peak now! I hope it makes it into the Multichart at some point too, it was great to see Best of Me in there! Nice that you're enjoying Closer more now and Met Him Last Night is a lot better than I thought it would be. X Gon Give It To ya peaked in my charts when Deadpool used it, great backdrop, or else I would have been charting it too. Best of Me top 10  Good to see Spaceships doing well too! Glad you love Best of Me and Spaceships too as well as the rest, I've seen most of the songs here in other users' charts too but the forum contests certainly do provide lots of great discoveries! Nice to see The Sherlocks so high up here! Climbing for me this week although not into my Top 40 yet. The Prey is a decent BJSC entry as well, in the top half of my rankings at the moment. Great chart :D Hopefully The Sherlocks can make it into your top 40 soon! Glad you like the BJSC entry too, hoping it can make it high enough to reach your points, enjoying your entry Summer In Berlin too and pleased that it qualified. Great to see Lana advancing to the top 10 also! Great chart ^_^ This is the first time Demi has appeared in my published charts on here! If I went back far enough I think the last time Demi would have been in my chart was as a feature on No Promises by Cheat Codes in 2017, can't say I've gone back to that one much since though. Definitely agreed on the two Dave tracks, really looking forward to hearing more from him. Dark But Just A Game has emerged as my favourite track from her album at the moment and it may be advancing further next week! Thanks very much to all of you for commenting!
