I’ve always wondered where the other chart shows actually get their data from. I know the big top 40 uses a mix of Apple Music and iTunes but what about the other chart shows? I’ve often wondered if they just make it up lol

Higher than I was expecting for Scouting For Girls' covers album which is good to see!

Coming to be Tom Jones' first #1 since 1999 apparently (assuming it holds on) - the fact that he had a #1 single more recently than his last #1 album :lol:

Tom Jones should do a Reload 2 next (Reloaded?). The original Reload was a monster success and impressive considering even then he was 60-odd. He's definitely still got the commercial clout to get some big name contemporary duet partners, and his voice is still strong. Amazing how essentially an easy listening crooner from the 1960s has kept reinventing himself and managed to stay so relevant for so long.

Tom Jones new album is surprisingly good, the single being playlisted by R2 is the best thing he's done in ages

Agree he should do Reload 2, wonder why he never did, it would be an obvious good album seller

In pursuit is another musical icon in the shape of John Lennon, as a new box set edition of Plastic Ono Band (3,101 sales) is released. London Grammar’s Californian Soil (2,936 sales) falls 1-3, while The Who arrive at No.4 with The Who Sell Out (2,690 sales). Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia (2,298 sales) completes the Top 5.

Does anyone know how much Tom Jones' last album 'Long Lost Suitcase' sold in its first week in 2015, charting at #17?

Oh I assumed London Grammar would have fallen a lot further than just #3 at this stage! Should overtake Lennon by the end of the week as well so might actually get a second week in the top 2? (Although Dua/Bieber might overtake them).

 

Nice surprise to see 'How Does It Feel' currently looking like actually climbing this week as well :o

Jones had had 33 chart albums, 16 of which reached the Top 10,

what a tragedy we have this week that there's only 2 projected new entries and both of them are in the lowest quarter of the chart.

surprised to see London Grammar climb this week, but the song does sound like it could be a hit moreso than the rest of this era of theirs.

it's very great to see Paul Woolford turning around too and potentially re-peaking, could be a top 40 hit easily if Spotify get their act together and push it.

I'd really like to see Marea make the top 40 at some stage too, it's a very unique hit single.
