one good thing about Billboard, they never tried to translate streams into sales, for them it's points not sales, so in the US they don't have a ratio of 100 streams=1 sale or whatever like in the UK

 

Song certifications in the US work exactly the same way as in the UK (I don't know what the ratio is but songs being certified are similarly stated as having passed a certain number of 'units' combining streams & sales). Billboard themselves rarely release any numbers but their chart is just as much based on an arbitrary ratio as the UK one is (even moreso since it also includes airplay), so I don't see why that is not 'translating streams to sales' as well?

In other news, DJ Khaled & co.'s 'I DID IT' has climbed back to #83 today. It's also become Khaled's highest song on US Spotify today (having previously been behind 'EVERY CHANCE I GET' w/ Lil Baby and Lil Durk). Perhaps it is starting to be pushed more now - I see it is on the Today's Top Hits playlist, not sure if it was there before or not.

 

'EVERY CHANCE I GET' seems to still be the choice track from the album on US Apple Music (it is still #1 there while everything else has dropped heavily, his next highest song at #14). It had to be one of the Lil Baby songs that properly took off there since Lil Baby seems to be #1 on US Apple Music about 60% of the time xx

don't think I've ever seen a conversion of streams into sales in the US

only to points and what they mix with airplay etc is points

I do not need this kind of negativity in my life.

Body is on 646K combined (433k+213k), an insane lead over Montero at #2 only on 400K!

Looks like Your Power will turn out to be a bigger hit than My Future ever was then if it's back in the top 5 already.

Body Remix now also #1 on Amazon, with the 2nd version also top 10, so must be doing crazy lots of streams in there too

Lovely rise for AURORA and surprise 'Your Power' is holding up very well indeed.
well your Power is track #5 on HH, that sure helps in holding up well (+ it's a great beautiful song)

There's a Trippie Redd & Playboi Carti song finally coming out on Friday called "Miss The Rage" that apparently has a snippet that's been viral on TikTok recently and is thus very hyped - so could do a "Calling My Phone". Sounds quite different to anything else in the chart though!

Still no Jonasu - Black Magic on the spotify chart either :( would have been nice if it could have joined that group of other dance tunes that we are hoping make top 40.
