I mean it's not awful, it just sounds so dated and doesn't leave any sort of lasting impression.

At the time I was so happy that they got back together!

 

Then the Christmas album happened...

 

This song is ok though!

If 'Scared of the Dark' was released back in 2011 instead of 'Light Up The World', then it could have easily been a much bigger hit & could have added to their streak of top 10 hits.

The next set of songs are smashing though!

I was very dismissive of this song in 2012... I just checked my Last.fm and I only played it three times!! I haven't heard it since October 2012.

 

I actually don't think this is anywhere near as bad as I clearly thought it was back then! :o It's perfectly fine. Maybe I'll give it more attention from now on.

At least it reached top 10 in Scotland

Now this is how you do a comeback, oh my goodness :cheeseblock: I remember being completely blown away when I first heard this. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine Steps would comeback after so many years and release a song that became an instant highlight of their discography!
