As it was a well known song it was pointless to cover just for a bonus track on a new edition of the album.

That said, it was not single status worthy.

I'd never heard it before Girls Aloud's version :kink:

It was actually the B Side to Life Got Cold at first, I guess it proved popular enough to be included on the re-release of Sound of the Underground to pad it out. They performed it on TV shows during the promotion of that single!

I think it suited them really well actually, and I also think it's a more inspired choice than most of their other cover versions. The guitars/electro sound was prevalent throughout the album, so Girls on Film fits in with that first era nicely imo. The song has a punky attitude to it that was definitely Girls Aloud's vibe in the early days. I always felt that 'Girls on Film' as a title was a nod to the fact that they were girls that had come from a TV show, and it also provided them with a good name for their first DVD!

Best: Love/Hate

Worst: I actually struggled with this one because there is more than one song on the album which I am not a fan off but I ended up ultimately choosing All I Need (All I Don't).

The album would have benefited had they had more songs with an edgy sound that Sound of the Underground and No Good Advice had aplenty.
