49 = A’Whora (UK Series 2) = 111pts

At 49 is A’Whora who is the first of 4 Queens from Drag Race UK to make the top 50 and is the third highest ranked UK Series 2 Queen behind Bimini and Tayce. I found A’Whora grew on me the more I saw of her and whilst she had some unpleasant moments, she did mellow quite a bit, particularly when she started to get to know Tia and she opened up more. Her runways were mostly stunning particularly the second design challenge. She however came a cropper in the comedy challenge, which given what we know she said now seems silly as the criticism it was overly crude seemed silly. She was eliminated in 5th place against Tayce (who again wasn’t exactly bad in the comedy challenge… Lawrence on the other hand…), however I do think she had a lot to offer the competition a was a fierce Queen.

48 = Ginger Minj (Series 7 | All Stars 2) = 113pts
Number of Votes = 5 (1 Top Ranking)



At 48 is Ginger Minj who is the first of 5 Queens from Series 7 to make the top 50. Ginger managed to gain 1 top ranking overall, however what stops her from a higher placement is she only had 5 votes which is the least amount of all the Queens in the top 50. Ginger had a great run throughout Series 7 including 3 challenge wins, the only time she wasn’t safe or at the top was her 2 bottom 2 performances. She made it all the way to the final 3, however was beaten by Violet to the crown. Ginger then returned for All Stars 2 where she had a bit of a muted run and became the third Queen out (Or second given Tatianna returned). Ginger is very good value and a very funny Queen, some of her comments about the younger Queens in Series 7 were a bit off-putting, but she has personality in spade and her confessionals were great.

47 = Yara Sofia (Series 3 | All Stars 1) = 117pts

At 47 is Yara Sofia and the first of 5 appearance of Series 3 in the top 50, she places behind Manila, Shangela, Raja and Alexis. Yara had a great run on Series 3, however only managed to win 1 challenge, she rated high in 5 other challenges however hit the bottom 2 twice. Her second appearance in the bottom 2 in the final 4 saw her have a breakdown on stage an give up on the lip sync part way through. She was then subsequently eliminated from the competition. Given Alexis’ own track record, it would’ve been interesting to have seen what decision would be made had Yara not broke down and if she would’ve made the top 3. She then returned for All Stars 1 and paired up with Alexis, they were eventually the fourth pair to be eliminated and she had another controversial exit when Yara pressed the button to finish off the lip sync instead of Alexis.

Oh absolutely- other than the disco week and the first week she definitely needs a lot of growth!

I like Blu although I don’t really think her drag ever feels elevated

It always felt to me that she was destined to come 4th or 5th. Lovely personality and I looked forward to what she was going to bring to the stage but I didn’t have high expectations

46 = Chi Chi DeVayne (Series 8 | All Stars 3) = 122pts

At 46 is Series 8 and All Stars 3 Queen Chi Chi DeVayne. Chi Chi managed to gain 6 votes in total and is the 4th highest Queen from Series 8. Chi Chi had a bit of an up and down run during Series 8; some real standout moments including her performance during Bitch Perfect and also when she did hit bottom 2 her Lip Syncs were insane, particularly when she ousted Thorgy from the competition. She managed to make it all the way to the final 4 before being eliminated. Chi Chi then returned for All Stars 3 and didn’t have the best run; she was either low or in the bottom 2/3 for elimination every week, however lasted until week 4. It almost felt she wasn’t in the game from the start and just seemed continually behind the rest of the Queens. An absolutely amazing Queen though, a lovely personality too and her death last year was incredibly shocking and sad.

45 = Pearl (Series 7) = 124pts

A return to Series 7 next as Pearl comes in at 45, she managed to gain 8 votes and is the 4th highest placed Queen behind Katya, Trixie and Violet. Another Queen who had a bit of a turbulent run on the show; being singled out as someone who didn’t seem to care and had checked out, however went on to win 2 challenges and make it to the final. Pearl also hit the bottom 2 twice and eliminated Trixie (first time around) and Miss Fame from the competition. I did like Pearl and she was involved in one of the most iconic moments during the heated chat with RuPaul… ‘is there something on my face’. It’s a shame Pearl is probably unlikely to return for an All Star Series given her comments post show about Ru and the show… a great Queen though.

she's not a fashion queen but does that automatically mean her drag is not elevated? she always brought a concept with great execution + flawless makeup. it's certainly unfair to label queens who don't put being edgy fashionista or paying for custom drag pieces as much as possible as their top priority below the rest in terms of their drag quality.

i would absolutely say she is a fashion queen. like u said her looks were always high concept and polished, maybe a bit... junior (?) if we are going to be super critical. i feel the only reason people wouldn't call that is cos she is a bit nerdy and not tall, skinny and naked half the time lol.

44 = Alexis Mateo (Series 3 | All Stars 1 | All Stars 5) = 125pts

Bam! At 44 is Alexis Mateo who managed to gain points from half the voters, however sits outside the top 40. Alexis is the 4th highest ranked Queen from Series 3, like a lot of other Queens quite a number of her votes were towards the end of people’s lists. Alexis starred in Series 3, All Stars 1 and All Stars 5 – one of the few Queens to have been in the running for the crown 3 times! In Series 3 I think she was a bit of a revelation and no-one expected her to get to the final 3, let alone win so many challenges from the offset. However she more than proved herself to be more than just a pageant Queen and ably did comedy too. She returned in All Stars 1 and was paired with Yara, who were the 4th pair out, she then returned in All Stars 5 where she didn’t win any challenges and got into some big beef with India Ferrah.

Alexis has always felt really underrated considering how generally well she does across her seasons!

43 = Monet X Change (Series 10 | All Stars 4) = 132pts

At 43 is Monet X Change who is the next winner to fall, she gained 7 votes, is the 17th Highest winner and the 4th highest ranked Queen from Series 10. Monet has such a great personality an whilst some of her runways were a little bit ropey, she more than made up for it in how she presented herself. In Series 10 she had no challenge wins, however she had a big run of high placements. She ousted Dusty and Mayhem when she hit bottom 2 and made it all the way to the top 6 before being eliminated against Lip Sync assassin Kameron. She then returned for All Stars 4 whereupon she won 3 challenges and ended up in a double crowning along with Trinity. It does feel a bit odd that Monet has won, but as I said she has personality in the bucket load.

42 = Gigi Goode (Series 12) = 142pts

At 42 is Gigi Goode who is the 4th highest Queen from Series 12, behind Jaida, Crystal and Heidi. I was actually surprised to see Gigi this high as despite her really strong run, she never seemed to be that popular on here. However Gigi did manage to get 6 votes and all of them were fairly high too which helped to propel her past others with more votes. Her initial run on Series 12 seemed to indicate she was unstoppable, a top 2 placement, a high and 3 wins all by week 7… however then she kinda faded slightly and had a couple of low weeks. She made it all the way to the final, however finished as a runner-up behind Jaida. Gigi had amazing runways and I’ve no doubt that she’ll likely return for an All Stars at some point and probably win.

Gigi was a little dull to me but she definitely does have talent to back it up and isn’t as dull as others we’ve had dragged to the finals before

41 = Rosé (Series 13) = 146pts

…and just missing out on a place in the top 40 by a point is Series 13 runner-up Rosé. Here she is the second highest Series 13 Queen behind Symone and means Series 13 is another Series which is down to just 1 Queen. Rosé had quite a run on Series 13, winning 3 challenges and never hitting the bottom 2. In fact barring losing the first lip sync and hitting low in the make over challenge, she was either safe or top. She made it all the way to the final, however was eliminated in the final against Kandy Muse for the crown. I really liked Rosé, although I guess she isn’t that great at lip syncing, however she more than makes up for it in other ways. She’s another who I could see returning and doing well at an All Stars Series.
