May 12, 20215 yr Author Early playlist this week courtesy of KC Lights who posted it on his twitter. Hadji will be pleased to see Nathan Dawe finally on the playlist. They love a bit of Jorja Smith, don't they! I'm guessing Bussdown isn't out until Friday? Edited May 12, 20215 yr by Mangø
May 12, 20215 yr Great to see Nathan dawe added! :yahoo: They really need to remove Ferrari horses, do they actually think people enjoy that song, especially the clean version which there is literally no point in playing 😂
May 12, 20215 yr Very happy at Bicep! They’ve taken their time to add that single though - I think it was on 6music’s playlist around Christmas! Also nice to see Nathan Dawe and KC Lights on there. Hopefully Wes Nelson, Franky Wah and Prospa will be added in the next few weeks. Also surprised they’re still keeping Ferrari Horses on there - especially as it’s beginning to fall down the chart now, I thought they would remove it at their first opportunity!

Jorja is the Hottest Record tomorrow night so I did wonder whether it might get an insta - add like Addicted did!
May 12, 20215 yr Author Are they normally this early? It's normally decided on a Tuesday and made available to insiders such as the artists on the playlist. Occasionally one of those artists posts it on twitter before it's officially posted on Radio 1's website on Friday. Edited May 12, 20215 yr by Mangø
May 12, 20215 yr Great to see Nathan dawe added! :yahoo: They really need to remove Ferrari horses, do they actually think people enjoy that song, especially the clean version which there is literally no point in playing 😂 As much as I hate 'Ferrari Horses' it's pretty empirically clear that there are a lot of people who do enjoy it given it's arguably their biggest hit to date (not peaked as high as 'UFO' yet but looks like it'll have greater longevity). I'm surprised it hasn't risen above the C-List. Great to see another Bicep track being playlisted (would have preferred to see 'Cazenove' getting a push but 'X' was my second favourite of their album tracks so still a good choice for what little it matters). Wasn't that Sad Night Dynamite song already the Introducing track a couple of weeks ago?
May 12, 20215 yr Author Wasn't that Sad Night Dynamite song already the Introducing track a couple of weeks ago? Nope, this is definitely the first time it's been the Introducing track.
May 12, 20215 yr Wasn't that Sad Night Dynamite song already the Introducing track a couple of weeks ago? Yes it was on the week of the 9th April. However, that’s the day Prince Philip died and radio 1 changed their music policy for the week so I’m not sure whether it actually ever got played!

Who to believe!! :kink: (I guess that would make sense why they'd give it a second chance as the Introducing track if it was interrupted by the Philip thing - it's a good song so happy it is belatedly getting the exposure after all)

Oh OK, I stand corrected then, I checked the last 3 or 4 but never went as far back as that and don't remember it being played.
May 14, 20215 yr Tune of the Weekend is Disciples and Bshp - Solid Gold Thank you! And what a banger it is!
May 14, 20215 yr IS that a sign R1 might playlist Disciples again? Shame 'I Got You' was completely ignored.
May 14, 20215 yr About time Nathan got added. Better late than ever. I’m surprised Lil Nas X is still on there. Thought he would’ve been removed as he’s no longer #1
