Well kind of, I don't know how that compares to her other live vocals, but it wasn't great.

 

However, it could've replaced only Israel among the finalists in my books so it was always going to be hard fight anyway.

for the first time ever the 10 I wanted to get through all got through, so the final is looking good!

 

Destiny hit 2 in my personal charts last year so for her to have 2 in a row that are fab is pretty good going. Impressed also by Israel, Cyprus, Norway, Sweden.

I think the staging took away from Leslie's performance tbh! Went from borderline qualifier to out because she had so much to do and it was more about surviving the performance than enjoying it and letting the song breathe!

 

Obsessed with Ukraine atm, really liked it beforehand but now it's really a moment on stage! All the parts seem to have clicked perfectly and Shum definitely has more potential than Solovey ever did.

 

Seen so much about Croatia being robbed but honestly... not particularly in my mind! She was pretty good vocally, but the outfits were pretty awful, she wasn't as charismatic as Eden, Efendi, Elena or Destiny so would've lost votes to them and the song kinda drags towards the end. Feels like an obvious 11th place but I'd have only had them ahead of Belgium out of the qualifiers imo!

There's so much boring shite this year (try-hard guy ballads) that it takes a special sort of awful to secure the bottom of the pile. I think even Belarus was better than this.

The positives - they're certainly an interesting band and I can respect their artistic choices. Negatives - I just can't find anything that I enjoy in this and I often have to press skip while I'm listening to the whole bunch. Qualification seemed to be a more common opinion last year. This year, I see people predict it being a borderline case or a clear risk of dropping out during the semi-final. I'd be glad if it didn't qualify so that some people would stop putting Ukraine on the pedestal that they have somehow acquired.
