Olivia Rodrigo looks set to score her second UK Number 1 single on Friday as Good 4 U takes the lead in this week’s Official Singles Chart race.

The Californian singer/songwriter and actress’s latest track entered the chart at Number 2 last week and is now on course to topple reigning chart lords Tion Wayne & Russ Millions as Body slips two places to Number 3 midweek.

Pop-punk hit Good 4 U is one of three tracks from Olivia Rodrigo’s debut album, Sour, that currently dominate the midweek Official Chart Top 10 after 48 hours; previous single Déjà Vu is at 5, while album opener Brutal starts the week at Number 10.

Olivia’s breakthrough chart smash Drivers License, which spent 9 weeks at Number 1 earlier this year, is the UK’s biggest single of 2021 so far. See Olivia Rodrigo’s UK chart history.

K-pop outfit BTS are on track to bag the UK’s highest new entry of the week as Butter opens at Number 2.

Heartbreak Anthem - the new collaboration that sees Little Mix teaming up with Swedish production duo Galantis and DJ/producer David Guetta starts out inside the Official Chart First Look Top 10 at Number 8 – the second highest new entry of the week so far.

Elsewhere, a new entry for Anne-Marie and Niall Horan who join forces on new track Our Song (12).

Huge climbs are on the cards this week for 21 year-old British singer/songwriter Mimi Webb as Good Without jumps 13 places to Number 11, while Years & Years’ latest single Starstruck rockets 25 places following the release of a new remix with Kylie Minogue.

DJ/producer Majestic could be heading for a new peak position on the Official Chart on Friday, as his rework of Boney M’s Rasputin climbs six rungs to Number 16 so far in its ninth week in the Top 40. The tracks current best to date is Number 18.

And finally Coldplay’s Higher Power (20) climb 5 places back into the midweek Top 20 following their Glastonbury livestream appearance yesterday.

Bit late on catching up as I was at work, but I’m pleasantly surprised at starstruck climbing all the way to #19 didn’t expect the remix to boost it that much! Great to see Heartbreak Anthem at #8 hope it can keep its top 10 position by Friday. BTS song isn’t sounding too bad after a couple listens feel it could grow on me, not sure if it will hold up and stay top 3 by Friday, we will see.

Maybe BTS might miss the top five this week.

I’m sure Brutal will be higher tomorrow as it will have a fair amount of streaming missing, I can see either being around 6/7 in tomorrows update.

Oh “Brutal” is excellent! Reminds me a bit to Elastica and love the cinematic ending.

Hope by some miracle it stays longer than 1 week in the chart. Or it may get pushed as a single later.

Surprised Olivia is only that far ahead in the albums, thought she would be miles ahead already. Should extend easily but stilll

Surprised Pink is that low, I mean I know it's only a (mostly) live album but thought she'd at least show up higher than Gary Numan, if not Twenty One Pilots. I expect Gary Numan will fall to #4 or #5 anyway.
I didn’t even think Olivia would be ahead in the first mids, thought the other big new entries would be more front loaded and she would overtake with streaming added so I think it’s great she’s already got quite a lead
Was hoping Pink would be Top 3 but a live album is always hard to call, if she stays Top 4 or 5 il be happy, 21 Pilots i was sure would be at least Number 2 and possibly Number 1 so im really surprised they are only Number 3 not that number 3 is bad.

Definitely great for her, think I worded it wrong. With streaming she should get some good numbers! Great for a new artist, album is stunning too!

Unfortunately, Russ and Tion will knock BTS out of the top 2

The BTS song will fall out of the Top 10 next week anyway. Their sales are always very front loaded.
