Throwing the thread up now ahead of next week. If you're already feeling the onset of Post-Eurovision depression then fear not, Saturday 29th May sees the return of the Eurovision Song Celebration where we'll be able to see all of the "Live On Tape" back up performances that would have been used if any of the artists, like Australia, weren't able to make it to Rotterdam. Obviously we've already seen one of them but we'll be able to see the other 38 along with some other backstage sneak peeks.

The 13 non-qualifiers are being shown tonight and the 26 finalists will be tomorrow night's final re-run! Both are at 9pm CET on Eurovision's official YouTube channel.

Ireland and the UK are not allowing their live on tapes to be broadcast.

Neither the MAPS or Embers Live-on-Tape performance will feature in the Eurovision Song Celebration shows, as both artists want the live performance they delivered in Rotterdam to be the version that people remember. Lesley and James will still feature in the shows.

idk if they realise how internet works and that people can watch the performances again online regardless of this x
I guess that can only mean their live-on-tapes were even worse than their Ahoy Arena performances

That was my first thought. 😆

Part 1 Livestream:

I saw someone describe these two shows as like a "closing ceremony" for the whole two years of Eurovision we've just had which seems very fitting!

From the few we've seen so far, I can only conclude that Ireland and UK's live on tape were horrendous as I can't fathom why you wouldn't want to take part in what is in essence a celebration?
Poland's really was excellent! Also enjoyed Latvia and Czech Republic a lot too.

It was quite funny hearing Krista saying “The Uk and Ireland will not be taking part in the song celebrations” because that’s all it is. Celebrating the songs

I don't see how Ireland could be any worse as I thought the problem with the Rotterdam performance was how overthought out it was, not having two months to prepare and come up with ideas was probably a good thing for them  Unless the idea was there from the start, I was surprised that the "Bulletproof" outfit was part of North Macedonia's live-on-tape.

Poland was rather good. I expected the stage set-ups to be more standardised. Austria and North Macedonia I thought were the only two that could perhaps blend in with Rotterdam and be hardly noticed that they aren't there.

I think tonight will be more interesting, I'm excited to see Russia and Ukraine as they were the two biggest staging moments of the year imo, Greece too. Don't imagine Portugal will look anywhere near as good as they filmed straight after FdC.

omg Romania, who in the world thought that was a good idea :rip:

Cyprus's live on tape really feels like a first draft of the staging (which I guess most of these will be) - the Rotterdam vocals and performance had much more kick to them.
