These girls and their one-week efforts lol amazing. It's pure Spice Girl campaign isn't it? Even on the last tour they did one-week of promo and its been like that since they did one-week of promo for Forever back in 2000 lol

Pure fan service, but the whole campaign kind of pointed to that faith anyway... Again their biggest downfall continues to be streaming and a lack of a cheaper CD.

The vinyl seems to be well stocked in many countries though, which is good and will continue to trickle some sales over the next few months. I wonder how much it sold internationally? It seems to have done relatively well in a few territories. Would a 30k worldwide estimate be too high?...

Tbf most of these re-releases are 1 week and out. They don't have a current single getting radio play or the artist promoting them. For the label it's no problem as I'm sure they won't be printing anymore cassettes and probably individual vinyls. The cd and zoetrope will knock around for a while but I doubt anymore money will be being put into the release now.
It was a nice gift to the diehard fans but most people who want to listen to Spice will either have it already or buy the original album cheap.

Yeah for sure. I think the CD will be reduced in price eventually as it is far far too expensive lol

Spice will probably end up charting in January when HMV and the official store have a January sale lol
US top album sales chart #18

US vinyl album chart #22

Oh that's good!!

Oh that's good!!

Spice 25 did not crack the Billboard 200 albums chart. THE main album chart in the U.S. That's not good.

This shows the girls don't have much of a die hard fan base in the U.S. who will buy anything they release. Or it shows the die hard fans in the U.S. didn't know about the release due to lack of promotion. Either way it's disappointing Spice 25 didnt chart in the U.S.

No it shows that the US charts are very heavily skewed towards streaming. Tori Amos charted at #6 on the sales chart and #104 on the Billboard 200 which just shows how skewed it is towards streaming.

The US album chart includes individual downloads of songs, figure that one out. Spice was the 18th best selling album in the US last week, they did great.

The US charts need a massive overhaul, Rihanna's Anti is still charting nearly 6 years later despite her being seemingly done with music for years thanks to the ridiculous way it's calculated.

From the Spice Girls France Chart Forum

Spice = 6,372 SPS total sales in the U.S. (of which 5,169 were pure sales, including 4,841 physical sales + 328 digital sales).

Physical sales break down this:

LP = 2,553

Picture 663

Baby LP 422

Ginger LP 402

Posh LP 391

Sporty LP 349

Scary 317

Original 9

CD = 1,753 (1,751 for the Spice 25 edition)

Streaming is the how the majority of people consume music these days. Physical sales are a niche market. It ain't 1999 anymore. Let's be honest, without the individual vinyl covers this entire project would have been a flop. Some of you ain't ready to have that conversation.

Thanks Spice Girls Net, interesting that we got a breakdown of formats in the US!

A slight improvement in the UK mids, it’s up to #156. It’ll still be very touch and go whether it can remain Top 200 by Friday though. I don’t think it will unfortunately.

Thanks Spice Girls Net and Jay. Why I bothered responding to Sideout, back on my ignore list.

18k from UK/France/US so far, pretty impressive at the prices the physical is retailing at. Think could have easily done 30k WW.

Hopefully it stays top 200 in the UK.

Today I try to buy SPICE 25 in Zagreb (capital city of Croatia 🇭🇷).

It's a big shame that I couldn't find it in the 5 local music stores. Only Wannabe 25 vinyl in one store.

But I recieved my Scary and Zoetrope viny today.

Sporty vinyl is on the way.

Thank God for the web stores.

The wannabe lyric video has reached 200k views in 12 days. There is a fan made one of YouTube with 70 million views so it was a no brainer to do and will no doubt get consistent good views from casuals looking to sing along to it.
