June 9, 20214 yr If it were £40 I’d consider buying it but £80 no chance too much money charity or not I don’t have that kind of spare cash.
June 9, 20214 yr I'm pretty torn on this, I mean it's obviously lovely all 5 to do a project together but I hope this isn't Posh pushing her brand using Spice Girls. I guess we will find out if she is involved in other things this year. If she is then great and this is an added bonus, if she isnt this reeks of using the girls and Wannabe to promote her brand. I know it's for charity but she will no doubt get exposure and people signing up for newsletters etc from it too. Also the price point is an issue, I like the design and actually want one but I'm just not sure I can justify £80. If it had been £40 or £50 then fair enough. Edited June 9, 20214 yr by sammy01
June 9, 20214 yr One last thing, but the slogan used feels a bit clunky/awkward to me... I somewhat agree, but are you / we able to come up with a better one? Remember, it has to include both Pride & Wannabe. ;)

Wouldn’t be better something shorter like I WANNABE PROUD or IF YOU WANNABE MY LOVER, BE PROUD

June 9, 20214 yr Someone on another forum suggested a subtle change of "Proud to Wannabe your lover" and I feel that makes more sense than "and"?
June 10, 20214 yr I woke up and realized I cannot unsee Geri picture. It’s one of the cringiest Spice-related things since Music of the Night (Perdido) and Melanie C at the Forever launch party.
June 10, 20214 yr Sure it's a nice shirt, but no way I'm going to pay that price for it. You won’t contribute to empowering women through fashion? 😢
June 10, 20214 yr Someone on another forum suggested a subtle change of "Proud to Wannabe your lover" and I feel that makes more sense than "and"? Wait why are people confused by the slogan? Proud (of being gay etc) and Wannabe your lover. Proud to Wannabe your lover just sounds like some controlling or terrible relationship or needy person. Edited June 10, 20214 yr by sammy01
June 10, 20214 yr It's not really confusion, it's just that it's quite ham-fisted to try and fit in two different statements like that. It doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. "Wannabe your lover" away from the context of the lyric "if you wannabe my lover you gotta get with my friends" gives off a totally different meaning to me... whether it had "Proud and" or "Proud to" in front of it, it still reads in a bit of a needy/sexualised way. Like, wannabe whose lover? The randomer who reads the t shirt? What if you're already in a relationship? Lol. I just don't think it works. If it sells well though and buyers enjoy it, good for VB/Spice Girls/the charity.
June 10, 20214 yr In a way it kinda fits with their mantra that Girl Power is for everyone, so I dont hate it. It's clumsy for sure though
