Cristiano Ronaldo sure is finished! The hat trick and record breaking goal scoring feat is all in our imagination. Not to mention the goal of the month contender that totally didn't happen today.

Was a great game tbf, thought Spurs deserved a draw though but guess that’s Ralph ball! Doesn’t really control the game but is effective at times!

He's finished as a top class team player. He will score goals of course he will, he is a great player. But you should be battling for the title, not battling for 4th. No way you battle for the title with Ronaldo as your striker.

We're not battling for the title because our squad as a whole is not good enough. Ronaldo can't do everything on his own and without him we would be in a much worse state than we are, we would definitely already be out of the Champions League for example. If this is him being finished then the rest of the squad should join him in equally being finished.

One of the most expensive squads ever built! Yeah he's done alright in the Champions League, but in so many games he's an absolute passenger. He can't press anymore and accordingly to the press there's obviously not haromny in the dressing room (rightly or wrongly). He's a great player, I have never said he wasn't. I've just said he wasn't a great signing. It's hard to build a team when you have Ronaldo, as you have to build the team around him.

Yeah massive win, I fancy Watford to pick up the odd few wins here and there too - personally I think Everton are in real, real trouble.

Everton are the luckiest team ever. Lost 8 of their last 9 games and yet have still never dropped into the relegation zone!
Watford are an odd one. 15 points from 15 games away and 7 from 14 at home but their remaining fixtures point to them needing to better that record massively. Hard to see them picking up more than a point from their remaining away games (Liverpool, Man City, Palace, Chelsea) but their home games are Leeds, Brentford, Burnley, Leicester and Everton.
Wow another twist as Palace hold City at Selhurst Pk!

Selhurst Park seems to be a harder ground to go to for away teams under the floodlights for some reason (as you hilariously found out in 2014!).

Palace are the ultimate bogey team for City time after time!

It'll be very interesting to see what happens this season as this is new territory for City. Every time they've won the prem they've either dominated or it's them been the ones who have come back from being behind in the league (as per 2011/12 and 2013/14).

All away games under the lights are difficult, the crowds are always way more up for it than the afternoon games. City should have won last night, but the result isn't that surprisingly. For a while now they have been over performing on their stats and judging from the post match interviews last night, Liverpool are well inside the heads of the players. I think a big part of the title race will come down to who draws who in the Champions League QF, which is slap bang in the middle of the game at the Etihad.

Except for 2018/19

Indeed and done us a bit of a favour too. I'm hoping both the title fight and top 4 battle goes to the wire.

Yeh still think City are favourites with the point clear and home against us plus we have the harder run in but proud of the way we have dragged them back. We seem to have a lot better options to off the bench now which is good. Will be an interesting run in.

One of my United supporting mates wanted Arsenal to win tonight which says it all 🤣

We have the harder run-in, but we also have the better squad now. City can't rotate like they used to and they don't have Kompany/Silva/Aguero. They key now will be how they react after the international break. The City-Liverpool game will be billed as the title decider, but don't think that's the case at all, as suspect both teams will drop points along the way.

Said it before but the CL draw is going to play a massive part too, as if City get Benfica/Villareal amd Liverpool draw say Bayern/Chelsea then that's a massively taxing difference.

Indeed, you don’t think it’ll be like 18/19 again?

No, I just don't see it. City's form has been waining for a while in the underlying metrics, plus this season I suspect they will get to the CL semi-finals so will have less chance to rotate the key players. I think we will both drop points along the way again, it just depends when we stop the winning run. The backbone of the 18/19 season though was mainly full of players Guardiola hadn't bought, and his teams are so over coached that if things are not going their way (see Palace) he sticks to the same path.
