If that was a red for Robertson (and it was), how on earth was it not also one for Kane in the first half?

He must have wanted Christmas off, no way he gets a game for a few weeks. Genuinely one of the most shocking referring performances I've ever witnessed. I actually think the penalty decision winds me up even more. Maybe a seperate topic of debate as the referees have obviously been instructed to give less penalties (and my best guess is, they were influenced by the events last weekend).

Sometimes decisions go against you, we had 2 stonewallers denied in the west ham game. Spurs were more than value for their point imo and in fact yous were lucky to not have gone 2 or 3 down!

On a wider note let's be thankful we still have games with full houses cos can't see that being the case for a long time soon...

Kane gets sent off and it's a completely different game though. Don't think they get a point if the right call is made. I'm ok with subjective decisions going against us at times as they do usually even themselves out, but there was nothing subjective about the Kane challenge or the Jota penalty. Those are just sheer incompetence.

The Kane tackle was a red yeah but we know refs are super resistant to giving early red cards. Plus the fact he'd literally just scored and the home fans being in a buoyant mood no doubt played a part.

Kane probably should have seen red but Robertson's was definitely more of a red therefore straying into 'clear & obvious' territory where VAR intervenes.

There are multiple decisions most weeks where a VAR won't intervene on whichever way a decision goes because they're on the borderline. I thought Kane's was on the edge of that at the time and still do after the later red card.

Premier League clubs have chosen to fulfil festive fixtures despite ongoing disruption caused by Covid-19 cases.

The league's 20 clubs met on Monday to discuss how they could deal with the challenges faced after six fixtures were postponed because of Covid-19 numbers over the weekend.

The postponement of a round of games over Christmas was a possibility.

Happy about that tbh, was thinking there was more chance of postponing a round.

Teams just have to get on with it. It's only the ones in bad form who are complaining right now. And like many have said postponing games just pushes the same problem back. It's actually a blessing that the World Cup is in December next year, had it been in the regular slot there'd be zero chance of extending the season by a week or two if necessary.

The issue is, you can't have the same team play twice in 48-60 hours. I'd have been up for postponing that round and moving it to a midweek in January after clearing the fixtures. Teams should play if they can, of course, but can't help but feel this is going to come back and bite some teams on the arse.

Why not? That's been the case every season for years the 2 day turnaround after Christmas. Okay we're in covid times now but you can't argue with the fact if a team has enough fit players then there's no excuse or else teams will just leverage to postpone games until they've got their best XI back, which could include those out for genuine injuries right now.

Yes, if they have enough fit players. If someone tests positive now, they miss the entire festive period. I love football at Christmas, but I also think times are changing, some teams get a 3-4 turnaround period which isn't so bad, but 48 hours is near-on impossible.

It's just frustrating as some clubs don't have a high vaccine rate, so the reason teams have had games postponed is because their squad has to self isolate, rather than having covid. So some teams end up having a winter break and others have to carry on during the busiest period. See City last year and how they went on an insane run after getting Christmas off.

Brendan Rodgers teams are good to watch but he's very poor defensively!

Wolves' Premier League game at Arsenal on Tuesday has been postponed because of Covid-19 cases in the Midlands club's camp.

The match was scheduled to kick-off at 12:30 GMT at Emirates Stadium on 28 December.

Leeds v Aston Villa has also been postponed over the weekend - it can't be good psychologically for the teams or the players to have to prepare for matches without being certain they'll actually happen.
