Yeh final score did but I’ve established in my head anyway City would win overall.

The annoying thing is a point away at Chelsea is not bad, especially with the covid problems we have right now. Our big problem is lack of control, been a problem all season although suspect that will get addressed in the summer. Just annoying the bar is so high to challenge and win the league under Pep and City. To win the league now we would have to be near enough flawless and that's not gonna happen.

Least we did it once lol!

What did you make of Kellehers performance? Thought he did really well!

He was excellent, made one rash call but he's great. If we had Adrian in goal, we lose that game today I guarantee you. Guess the main problem is Allison will probably be our #1 for 5+ years, so he might want to play rather than being back-up, especially with that Irish jersey up for grabs!

Yeh why do ireland always have 2-3 good players in one position at once - Kelleher, Bazunu and Travers?! Always have a decent keeper due to the popularity of Gaa in the country!

What a game, Chelsea v Liverpool was. Kovacic's goal though, what a strike.
That first half was excellent. One of the guests on Early Kick Off got rather carried away and implied that it should have continued with no half time break.... :heehee:

Always good to see a good game of football - Chelsea/Liverpool seems like just that!

Good to see Leeds get a convincing win yesterday, granted it was against 18th-place Burnley but it's hopefully a starting point for better times ahead.

Tell you what, Ragnick (or whoever comes in) has their hands cut out with Man Utd. I just think at this stage the problem is the players. That's 2/3 times players have come out about effort and motivation. I don't think the 4-4-2 or 4-2-2-2 suits this United side at all either and Sancho looks like an Ashley Young tribute act at this point. No idea what's happened to him! I think at this moment in time Spurs look a banker for 4th.

It's been the players for many many years now as is clear as day whoever is in charge has the same problems. At least people will soon see what a decent job Ole did and put a bit more respect on his name for what he achieved with the squad!

4-2-2-2 formation is awful, zero width whatsoever and we don't have any decent wingbacks anyway. Sancho is just this decades version of Aaron Lennon.

I reckon Arsenal have a better chance than Spurs, the latter are still shite and barely better than us on their good days. West Ham have another golden ticket too which I didn't expect them to after coming up short last season.

I'm more convinced the issue is with the players, suppose that's what happens when you have a load of average and good players on obscene wages. Varane looks to have aged 10 years since moving to England too!

I think Arsenal might struggle a bit without Partey, but going to be an interesting one to keep tabs on. They're playing a slightly different formation at the moment, but can't be too long until someone properly works out how to do a number on them,

Man U have been battered almost every game they've been playing recently, lucky to have got as many points as they have so far

Sounds like all is not good in the camp at all. Just don't think they have the players for the 4-2-2-2 but Ragnick isn't the type of person to change the philosophy. They look more solid than under Ole, who you felt could concede at any moment, but now they are pretty toothless in attack led by Ronaldo. Rashford has regressed massively too. Ah well, I guess this is how it must have felt watching Liverpool during the Fergie years :D

We still look like we will concede at any moment tbh! We've just played weaker/low-scoring teams who don't have the proper firepower to punish us.

Rash has been poor for years now. Never will be a top tier player but least we can say it certainly isn't him not putting the effort in.

  • 2 weeks later...

10 goals and 3 assists this season is pretty impressive! He's certainly made an impression at Palacce.

The Leeds facebook page has posted a quote from Bielsa about how much he's enjoyed his time managing the club, could we be seeing him stepping down soon? Or maybe people are reading a little too much into it...

He only stays around for a few seasons at most his clubs. I think he's already broken his record with Leeds, can't see him being there too much longer as it's Bielsa's way.

After crying last week about a league cup postponment, Arsenal have now asked for the Spurs game to be rearranged. The Premier League has made a proper rod for their own backs letting injuries, transfers, departures etc. be part of the rules.
