June 25, 20214 yr Lots of good new stuff being added this week. Highlights for me are MK, Jungle and Inhaler, although I agree that Willow should have been added by now. Not many rises this week; I'm hoping for Self Esteem and L Devine to move to the B list at some point in the future. Very happy with Rasputin being removed - long overdue.

Not sure what's happening with Bastille, they seem to have fallen out of favour with R1 lately. I agree they should have added Måneskin and Willow by now, though I still can't call whether they will or not.
June 25, 20214 yr I don’t understand how Måneskin aren’t getting any radio support? For years radio have wanted and at times almost been attempting to force a rock revival. So a rock band finally becomes popular - through Eurovision but the growth since then has been organic - and radio are not touching them! It. does. not. compute.

June 25, 20214 yr yikes at them still not playlisting Maneskin. as an act, they are literally perfect for R1. they have an authentic rock ‘edge’ and multiple viral songs. not to mention a massive social media presence already. the early global success is completely undeniable and transcends anything that eurovision hype alone could garner. what are they waiting for? I’d understand snubbing the cover of Beggin’ and their eurovision entry as that isn’t in english, but wanna be your slave is a no brainer to add to the playlist and has been for weeks. now that it’s top 10 on the UK official chart I don’t understand what the hold up is.

R1 did playlist 'Think About Things' so they're clearly not 100% allergic to Eurovision (only about 95% lol), I don't see any other good reason for them to snub Måneskin especially when 'I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE' isn't even the song from Eurovision and most likely a large swathe of its listeners only know it through TikTok anyway, similarly to 'Think About Things'. Not a particularly exciting week of adds (pending the songs I haven't heard yet) but 'Chemical' is pretty good, a little surprised that it hasn't started making a run on the chart yet as it sounds like the kind of thing that could be huge, but then these kind of dance songs sometimes take a while to get going so it might still be coming. Also agree about the snub so far for 't r a n s p a r e n t s o u l' being a little weird but I think it still might be added in the next couple of weeks.
