LIB is probably 9th in my ranking of the top 10. I’d have ideally had Sorry out first.

Like a Prayer

Vogue

Ray of Light

Frozen

Into the Groove

Hung Up

Papa Don’t Preach

What a shame!!!! La Is Bonita should be top 5 - how can a track like Sorry be higher than this all-time Madonna classic - I love this track, it's beyond perfect...

La Isla Bonita is a 11/10 and Sorry is just a 3/10 for me.

LIB is literally my favourite song ever
La Isla Bonita is such a amazing song. I love it.

Love it too, should definitely be top 5. and crazy that the album's 5th single managed to be #1 in both US and UK. Also crazy that the song was first offered to Michael Jackson but he passed and ended up in Madonna's hands and being such a huge hit.

An immensly iconic song (like much of the top 10). THE escapism song and never fails to make me long to be in another place and another time. Just shows the strength of her big hitters now as we delve into the top 10 :drama:

| 09. Into The Groove 9.15

Initially recorded for the film Desperately Seeking Susan and later included on the re-issue of Like A Virgin, Into The Groove was inspired by a handsome man while juxtaposing the thrill of dance with sexual fantasies. Her first #1 single in the UK and a big hit around the globe, it has gone on to become a signature hit for her. Most recently, it was included on Rolling Stones' list of the greatest songs of all time (at #161). A dance song with a joyous infectious thrill, and centres around a dancefloor - Madonna states that dancefloors were magical for her and initially, she wanted to be a dancer. The freedom of dancing and the empowering nature it holds when you let go inspired the song - we're still grooving to it today decades later.

LOVE into the groove ! It reminds me of my mam when I was a child ! Great song !
Love 'Into The Groove' - her biggest selling UK single and, despite being 36 years old, it's still perfect! Crazy that this wasn't even properly released in the US; just perfection.

ITG - love the remix version on YCD

Live this song always comes to life. Def in my top 10.

Into The Groove is truly one amazing song. I just love listen to it.

Jam :music: So feel good and never fails to cheer me up. I randomly started re-loving it even more a few years ago so it's still fresh for me.

La Isla Bonita is a beautiful song and well deserved it's place in the Top 10 here.

I think Into The Groove could be in the running to be her signature song. So many people think of Holiday, Like a Prayer and Vogue, but Into The Groove is up there too. It's massively popular.

I know this is a rarely aired opinion but I prefer the version of Into the Groove that’s on the immaculate collection. I think that was the first version I ever heard though so I suspect that’s why
It’s a rarely aired opinion also, but Into The Groove is by far her most overrated single. It’s objectively good but I never listen to it and she’s about 50/60 better songs.

| 08. Sorry 9.17

The second single from one of Madonna's most celebrated records, Sorry ranks at a very impressive 8th place. The self-empowering anthem was one of the first songs developed for the album and it encapsulates the era's sound perfectly - dancefloor, murky night club vibes with glorious synths and fist-pumping instrumentation. While it harked back to Madonna's earlier dance tracks it also helped to pave the way for the era in cementing itself as a modern-day masterpiece. A #1 single in the UK and a hit around the globe, it failed however to light up the US charts due to limited radio play. The music video continued where 'Hung Up's video left off and showcased Madonna continuing to enjoy the night, complete with rollerskates and cage fighting!

Love it too, should definitely be top 5. and crazy that the album's 5th single managed to be #1 in both US and UK. Also crazy that the song was first offered to Michael Jackson but he passed and ended up in Madonna's hands and being such a huge hit.

La Isla Bonita hit #4 in the US, not #1.

oh it's true, remember the peaks for Madonna's songs by heart is not easy specially for True Blue, all songs reached #1 either Uk or US

Live to Tell #1 US #2 UK

Papa don't preach #1 US #1 UK

True blue #3 US #1 UK

Open your heart #1 US #4 UK

La Isla bonita #4 US #1 UK
