BJSC 189 - MISSU - OUTTASIGHT Let’s try this again…

Bananarama (favourite) New Order Sade Texas Ultravox Years & Years Iamamiwhoami Depeche Mode Fontaines DC M83 (least favourite) Good top 5. Glad Bananarama have managed to top my ranking for the first time - I love all the singles I know by them !

Jessie Ware (favourite) Zara Larsson Robyn Leona Lewis Adele MARINA Agnes Sophie Ellis-Bextor Kate Bush Dido (least favourite) Another amazing round from the girls with two great discoveries from Leona & Robyn!! Anything from the What’s Your Pleasure era is gonna be high up for me!!

Sam Fender (favourite) Sam Smith Roosevelt Tom Grennan HRVY Gary Numan Calvin Harris Lewis Capaldi Darin Damien Rice (least favourite) The Sam’s really brought it for me this round! Some nice discoveries from Roosevelt, Tom & HRVY too. Maybe I’d known the Calvin/Tinashe track at the time I might have liked it more but I thought it was only okay.

Lewis Capaldi (favourite) Calvin Harris Sam Smith Darin Sam Fender HRVY Roosevelt Tom Grennan Gary Numan Damien Rice Mackenzy Mackay (least favourite) HRVY has performed a miracle! They sent a banger that I actually genuinely liked! The Darin song was probs my fav discovery but I also wasn’t aware of that Sam Fender track before this competition.

Zara Larsson (favourite) Sophie Ellis Bextor Adele MARINA Jessie Ware Leona Lewis Robyn Milica Pavlović Agnes Dido Kate Bush (least favourite) another great round from the girls! Amazing top 5 and not a single song I didn’t like! Milica is really bringing it too - kinda need her to go all the way lmao Love the Glassheart pick for Leona… my dream pick for her for an album track would be “Shake you up”!

Im shocked by the Tove Lo of it all in the Girls group. Her discography is full of songs that could have smashed this competition i cannot believe she’s the first out! Not too sad about the Bladee loss but I am sad about Dead or Alive purely just from a discovery standpoint… would love a few suggestions for them once the person behind them is revealed!

Tried to stay awake for my result but on holiday an hour ahead and I simply need to sleep haha I’m sure I will be extending my DNQ streak anyhoo 🫡

BJSC 188 - Wild Orchid - Talk to me After 5 consecutive DNQs, Mothertopia is firmly in its flop era. So I’ve reached deep into the vault and picked out this song that I’ve had in my potentials list for a couple of years. It’s a big girl group track with Fergie’s massive vocals and a very catchy chorus… what could go wrong?!

Sad to be on my 4th DNQ in a row, and quite unsure on how to approach future contests. I’ve enjoyed all my entries but they just don’t seem to be connecting in the right way… I’ll try again next month 🤣
