The Edit One remix of fever is much better than the album version.

The Look of Love is such a beautiful little song that I often forget about, but what a bridge! 'I Rise' is all that is wrong with Madonna post-Confessions.....

And I love LDLHA, such a raw vocal. Bye Bye Baby I like (there was a great housey remix I used to play a lot I think it was called On the club), One More Chance sounds unfinished to me (but the vocal is sublime), and Bitch I Madonna for me, is her worst ever single.

Scarred and we're bruised but our hearts will guide us

| 74. Hold Tight 6.12

| 75. You Must Love Me 6.06

| 76. Spotlight 5.92

Initially rejected from her True Blue recordings, Spotlight was included on her first remix album You Can Dance. The song tells of how you can feel famous if you sing about it. It was not officially released in the US or elsewhere (except for Japan) but it remains a joyous inclusion on the remix album. Next out it's the lead single from the Evita soundtrack. You Must Love Me was written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Time Rice for the musical with a view to win an Academy Award - it eventually did achieve this, along with a Golden Globe. Finally in this section, we lose the final single released from the Rebel Heart era, Hold Tight. The song incorperates military drums, keyboards, and electronic vibes and is about love triumphing through tough times, with a message of holding onto one another and being strong.

I would have welcomed a Hold Tight full release. She also cut it from the rebel heart tour!!

Spotlight is fun but i enjoyed it alot more when younger.

YMLM i adore. The live version especially!! That Crowd 😍

Spotlight has such a good message to it and is reason enough to buy You Can Dance alone. Deserved higher.

I like Hold Tight, but don't see it as a single.

You Must Love Me is beautiful.

I Used to love Spotlight back in the day, but when listening for this rate I was not very impressed...

Surprised You must love me is so low, thought it would be much appreciated

Just a thought, would it be possible to keep editing the first post and crossing the song that are out

so that we know whats left?

You're just jealous 'cause you can't be me

| 71. Gambler 6.19 (more 10s)

| 72. Everybody 6.19

| 73. Give Me All Your Luvin' (feat. Nicki Minaj & M.I.A.) 6.13

The lead single for Madonna's MDNA album drops out here. Give Me All Your Luvin' featured Nicki and M.I.A. and is about being up front with a guy and letting them know exactly how you are before delving deep with them. The dance-pop single was a marked contrast to much of her work and eras that came before it and the song featured a cheerleading inspired video in line with the Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show performance. We also lose Madonna's first ever single and the first exposure we had to her debut album. Everybody introduced the world to Madonna, and she was adamant that she was to be seen by the world by enforcing a music video to be recorded. Although it had middling success, it stated a career that would last for decades; everybody would soon know the woman behind the song~ Finally we lose Gambler, the second single from the Vision Quest soundtrack. An upbeat song about independence, it wasn't pushed globally (including the US) out of fear it would be detrimental to other singles being released at the time.

Everybody would be a bit higher for me.

Gamble live version is much better than the single version. I wonder if this will ever end up on streaming platforms?

'Everybody' is brill, always reminds me of dancing in one of my local gay bars before the pandemic.

I think 'Gimme All Your Luvin' could have been a fairly decent song if it had a better chrous. Either way we can safely say she made a wrong move with this one!

Ahh, Everybody was the other one I had considered. It’s a little slight in comparison with what comes after, as is a lot of the first album, but enjoyable and deserving of being above a good chunk of what is to come.

Gambler is a stone cold GEM of a song and I think gets forgotten about more than most of her other 80s singles. Such a shame as it’s so good.

GMAYL is not good. It should have been much lower than it is.

I overlooked 'Spotlight' for ages until last year when I checked out 'You Can Dance'. It's not particularly special on paper but I love the production and the sentiment.

'Hold Tight' is nice but I think the vocal editing in particular makes it feel a bit lackluster.

I don't return to the 'Evita' stuff much at all but I can't deny 'You Must Love Me' is a beauty. I like that the classic Madonna vulnerability isn't lost to her vocal lessons.

Admittedly I can find 'Give Me All Your Luvin'' kinda catchy but it was a massive misstep and I remember being quite embarrassed hearing it on the radio in front of my friends. Hype for Madonna's return was pretty big, as it always was, and this just killed the era. You can tell this was only lead single because of the Super Bowl reference which is a huge shame because I think Madonna could have continued getting radio support for a while longer had this been a better song (cough 'I'm Addicted').

I love 'Everybody' but I didn't expect it to do much here at all. I love the bass and the wobbling synths, it's got that classic escapism in music theme that's present in so many great Madonna songs and the hooks are simple and effective.

'Gambler' is so infectious and energetic, definitely deserves some more appreciation and I hope that can be achieved when/if it finally gets uploaded to streaming sites!
