Love Angel; Madonna in 1985 was white-hot and as a true superstar, had arrived - Angel reminds me of that golden period. I remember as a little boy in September 1985, seeing so many girls (and boys) in my school talking about Madonna, wearing Madonna badges, and following her obsessively. There hasn't been anyone since then, to reach those dizzying heights again.

I really like Love Profusion too. Levitating is dire. I've only listened to it twice, just awful.

I've never been that keen on Love Profusion, but Angel is a really nice track in her discrography.

I assumed The Blessed Madonna remix of Levitating would be wallowing right down low on this list, but I think it's an absolute banger and by far the best version on the song out there.

After all nothing's, indestructible

| 62. Bad Girl 6.88

| 63. Masterpiece 6.79

| 64. Me Against the Music (with Britney Spears) 6.69 (more 10s)

Winning the three-way tie, is the lead single from Britney's In The Zone album. Me Against the Music was first played to Madonna at the MTV VMAs rehearsals in 2003 and she was asked to get involved with the song following on from this. It's a song about letting go on the dancefloor and battling against the music. The song shows off a great chemistry between the two artists as they bounce lines back from one another. We also lose Masterpiece here which was initially used for the soundtrack to W.E. and later included on MDNA. A mid-tempo ballad, it won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song at the 69th awards ceremony. Finally, Bad Girl, Erotica's 3rd single drops out. The song is about a woman who has faced a tough relationship and has subsequently rebelled and started misbehaving - this leaves a sense of sadness and remorse. A tragic song with an incredible music video directed by David Fincher whereby Madonna is a business woman, having multiple one-night stands with men, but eventually meeting a grisly end.

MATM has never been a big favourite of mine. It's about right here in terms of placing.

Masterpiece is a lovely song, it always stops me in my tracks within MDNA. A few cringe lyrics but overall it's decent and shows that sometimes less is more in terms of that era.

Bad Girl is great and that video is a career highlight for sure.

MATM is crap and always has been

'Masterpiece' is nice, not something I go back to a lot but sometimes enjoy.

'Bad Girl' is sensational, I always try and replicate the verses and pre-chorus for note when I play it.

I thought Bad Girl was more loved. I find it a bit overrated.

Masterpiece is just that, what a great song.

MATM is nice.

Lots of love for Bad Girl from me - it's beautiful, and it fits perfectly within my favourite M album, Erotica. Masterpiece is a nice ditty, it's a pleasant listen, but suffers from a couple of clunky lyrics and just doesn't ever fully get off the ground for me.

Zero love for MATM - just awful.

Bad Girl is brilliant. It's a shame it broke her Top 20 run in America. I was hoping she would play it on The Girlie Show, but it wasn't to be. The video is just incredible. Watched it recently and loved it.

I go against the grain and really enjoy Me Against The Music. Again, the video is pretty darn good.

Masterpiece isn't something I bother with. But as I never bought the CDC of MDNA, I never really listened to it.

Bad Girl could be shorter in length!

Madonna's part on 'Me Against the Music' is a bit of a non-event and she was clearly added to capitalise on 'the kiss' (I bet the song already existed before Madonna's involvement) but the song itself I love and it gets far too much of a hard time. As CJK says, the video is really good too, great choreography!

'Masterpiece' is easily a standout on 'MDNA' even though it sticks out a bit. I wish they had released this in late 2011 so it was out and ready for the boost that would have been provided by the Golden Globe win.

'Bad Girl' is great, not as much of a favourite as it used to be for me but still up there and can't forget to mention the David Fincher music video - stunning!

MATM certainly existed before the kiss. Britney played it to her when rehearsing.
always thought Me against the Music was a wasted opportunity, could have been a massive #1, a song with Madonna and Britney together, but they went for this track with zero melody

Bad Girl is the biggest loss for me out of that bunch.

MATM is just awful. Masterpiece used to be something I liked but I soon realised that it's only good in comparison to most of the rest of the MDNA album, it's not anything special when compared to the rest of her singles.

I've got the moves baby, you got the motion

| 59. Don't Cry For Me Argentina 6.96

| 60. Burning Up 6.92 (more 10s)

| 61. Causing a Commotion 6.92

A tie to start us off with two 80s songs. First out here it's Causing a Commotion which is taken from the Who's That Girl soundtrack album. It was released as the album's second single and tells of her then-husband Sean Penn's violent and destructive nature. And sneaking ahead of this with more 10 scores, it's Burning Up from the debut album. The song was given the go ahead after 'Everybody' became a dance hit. It's a passionate song about a burning desire for a lover and although it wasn't a smash hit single, it helped to pave the way for Madonna owning her artistry and breaking through the mold of the male dominate landscape. Finally, from the Evita soundtrack, Don't Cry For Me Argentina drops out. A long desire of Madonna's to play the role of Eva came true in the 90s as Madonna took centre stage. She underwent vocal training for the soundtrack and the result was this soaring, powerful number.

Not too huge on any of these really. 'Causing a Commotion' is fun, 'Burning Up' is one of my least favourites on the debut and 'Argentina' is a great powerhouse moment for her. About where they should be in this countdown I think!
Burning Up seriously underrated !!

Just looked at the list of songs.

Turn Up The Radio is still in WTH !!!! Has there been an error?
