It must be time for the quarterly declaration of the end of Post Malone's career by r Sour Candy :cheeseblock:

(tbf it isn't exactly doing amazingly out of the gates :kink: though it has had a fairly big jump to #138 in the most recent update)

On Apple Shane Codd has finally entered the top 200 now

#182 NEW Shane Codd feat. Charlotte Haining- Always on my mind

Considering he hasn't had much success on singles chart since Circles despite releasing 7 singles, it's not really news :P

 05. Dave & Stormzy - Clash

 36. The Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber - Stay

 58. Billie Eilish - NDA

 64. Fredo - Wandsworth to Bullingdon (feat. Headie One)

 110. Post Malone - Motley Crew

 114. Sam Fender - Seventeen Going Under (Edit)

All of those haven't really been pushed/soundtrack songs/features though - this is really his first big release snce Circles.

I'm curious to know which 7 songs you're counting as 'singles' :kink: there weren't any post-album singles that received a proper push from 'Hollywood's Bleeding' (the other 'singles' from the album were just some songs sent to certain radio formats in the US, none of them received UK radio airplay I'm pretty certain and there was only one other music video released, for 'Saint-Tropez' in the week of the album release) and indeed his other releases since then have just been a few features and the throwaway cover for the Pokémon soundtrack.

Just saying if ever there was a time to sound alarms about Post Malone flopping it's definitely more warranted for this song (which I believe is meant to be a proper lead single) than any of those other releases in the mean time  though ofc as ever it's silly to write a song off as a flop based on its first day in current year xx

Dave/Stormzy now up to #2 on Apple, Olivia has still been doing huge numbers so was kind of expecting this to stall at #3 (it's obviously a huge release as far as UK rap goes but the genre still has, for the most part, a low ceiling; 'Funky Friday' only did 54k in its week at #1 and I think 'Vossi Bop' is the only Stormzy song that's done high enough numbers in a week to beat what 'good 4 u' is currently doing, maybe the peaks of 'Take Me Back To London' and 'Own It' might have barely beaten it too but yanno, Sheeran). Interested to see how it'll do on Spotify for its first day. Seems like it should be locked to be at least #4 for the week overall unless it's extremely frontloaded, or does far worse on every other platform than it has on Apple.

Other new songs on Apple:

22 The Kid LAROI/Justin Bieber

37 Fredo/Headie One

39 Billie Eilish

72 Post Malone

95 Sam Fender

98 Shane Codd/Charlotte Haining

159 BIA/Nicki Minaj

Aside: Chip has already recorded and released yet another Stormzy diss track titled 'Clash?' (on YouTube at least, don't think it's up on streaming services yet), he's really not letting this go  but that can really surely only help 'Clash'.

LAROI & Bieber have hit #1 on US Apple Music, with Posty at #4.

surprised football is still so dominant on Amazon

Three Lions #1 & 3 and Vindaloo #5

Black Magic is #16 on Amazon yay

only new I can see is Clash at #86

on Apple, Jonasu is now #7

really surprised how the new Billie is barely top 40 and

Post Malone only #72 is even more shocking as this is like his first proper single since Circles ages ago

New releases seem to be stabilising now on Apple. Dave & Stormzy back down to #3, though as Bré said it was quite impressive that they overtook Olivia anyway.

Laroi & Bieber making a strong climb up to #17 :cheer:

On Spotify today:

#3 Dave and Stormzy- Clash

#5 the kid laroi and Justin Bieber- Stay

#16 Billie Eilish- NDA

#33 BTS- Permission to dance

#34 Fredo feat. Headie one- Wandsworth to Bullingdon

#50 Post Malone- Motley Crew

Very good figures all around

1 Ed 766K

2 Olivis 636K

3 NEW Dave & Stormzy 629K

4 Three Lions 468K+96K=564K

5 NEW Kid Laroi 429K

Very strong start for Dave/Stormzy and The kid laroi/Bieber with them figures! I was gonna say that maybe clash could have challenged good 4 u for #2 officially this week if it can keep them numbers up all week but I think Amazon will let it down for that, it’s only #76 there.
Atomic Kitten holding strong - considering it won’t be on ACR either, it’s looking hopeful for a decent haul this week
Apple and Spotify seeming to be tracking very closely with the top 3 then - almost nothing in it between 2 & 3 on Spotify and guessing it must be the same on Apple since Dave was briefly #2 there (although indeed back down to #3 now). Great opening day for 'Clash' anyway, that is very comfortably the highest daily stream figure to date for a Dave song ('Funky Friday' peaked with just over 500k, 'Money Talks' not far behind with a peak of 489k) and for Stormzy it's very close behind the peak of 'Take Me Back To London' (646k, may have gone higher combined with the remix release I forget x) although 'Vossi Bop' remains in a league of its own with a peak of 826k.
