Love ‘Aye’ - this album is going to be incredible, the next single ‘Get You Down’ is quality too.

Oh My God.

Aye is excellent.

Can't wait for this album.

Aye is quality lyrically!

When’s the official second single? Must be soon if the albums out in 7 weeks!

Not sure on the date but the song has been chosen (Get You Down) - guessing as ‘Seventeen Going Under’ was only released 7 weeks ago and the instant grat just now that it’s a few weeks away yet?

I'm actually obsessed with this person right now. 'Seventeen Going Under' is in my top 5 songs of the year.

Incredible live too if you haven’t had the chance to see him yet.

I've been watching his live performances on YouTube and he's really good and the audience always seems like a good bunch. It was my bestfriend that put me onto him so I'd love to go see him with her.

Acoustic version of ‘Seventeen Going Under’ is being released at midnight - seeing as it’s likely to spend an 8th week in the Top 75 this week hopefully this will give it a further boost!
8 weeks in the top 75 is a magnificent achievement for Sam imo!

Pretty impressive for an indie/guitar act - just shows it should have been a hit, hopefully the new version will help keep it off ACR and it’ll get a further boost when the 7” vinyl is finally released in 5 weeks.

It is currently on zero weeks of decline anyway so it should make it to at least 10 weeks on the chart unless it falls off a cliff (it's been very steady so far so I presume it will stick around for another 3 weeks pretty easily). I'd be surprised if a random acoustic version had any bearing on whether it increases or decreases next week, unless it's being promoted in its own right it'll likely get pretty negligible streaming numbers.

It was unfortunate to fall just short of the top 40 in its first week but with the longevity it's had I'd definitely say that it has already been a hit anyway especially for its genre. He surely must get a first top 40 hit one of these days after having several singles charting in the 41-50 range with decent longevity and no sign that he's losing any relevance yet. Maybe when he releases his next album?

I imagine it would have to be a song released on album release week and promoted as a single. His second single will likely be released soon and be fading a bit by the album? I imagine most of his songs were released mid week hence the 41-50 peaks?
'Seventeen Going Under' is actually the only one of his top 100 hits that debuted at its peak (assuming #44 does remain its peak). 'Hypersonic Missiles' took 4 months from entering the chart to making the top 50 (getting there the week his album came out) and 'Will We Talk?' took 5 weeks.
The next single ‘Get You Down’ could do it - it will be released a week before the album (and by default ‘Seventeen Going Under’ could also creep Top 40 on album release week with streaming and the release of the physical single).
Different strategy, I like it. So only hyping the week before next month then maybe a grat before that to keep the preorders going?!

There are still two formats to be announced (which are the best ones tbh) which will help with the album pre-orders ticking over before the new single and promo kicks in
