D-Block Europe achieved their 16th top 40 hit today with their Home Alone inspired 'Kevin McCallister' kicking off the chart at #40. Not one of their finest moments, mainly due to Lil Pino being awful.

This track is truly awful. Tbf I only heard the madly edited chart show version today and not the full version but even still, D-block Europe are horrific, they don’t have a single good song IMO.

No Competition looks like it's going to be their 2nd top 20 hit of the year after Ferrari Horses TikTok related success earlier in the year.

Ferrari Horses was great and their best after UFO (and maybe New Dior including features) but this new one ain't that, quite annoying high then low pitch singing.

D-Block Europe are fighting for their first ever top 10 this week with 'Overseas', a collaboration with Central Cee. I wouldn't be surprised to see it just missing out like UFO.

27 top 75 hits with no top 10 is a record according to Wiki. Impressive in just over 3 years although could only remember the titles to about 3. None of the singles have their own wiki page although tend to find UK hip.hop they rarely bother to make them.

That's an impressive level of chart mediocrity.

UFO is the best thing they have ever done so it deserves to remain their highest charting track.

I honestly find it kind of baffling how many people seem to hold up 'UFO' (and 'Ferrari Horses') as being their best song(s). They're both among their absolute worst for me (and I dislike the vast majority of their songs). Though not quite as atrocious as 'Free 22'.

(for what it's worth my favourite of their charting songs is probably 'Destiny' which is almost bordering on being a good song. 'Playing For Keeps' and 'We Won' were alright too, nah at the rest)

Think Raye's feature would be a big reason why some people like 'Ferrari Horses' - I like that and their first top 40 'K Kings' - last time I tried to spell it in full this weird anti spam filter came up!

But most of their songs are identical with very trashy lyrics and annoying auto tune.

Home P*ssy & Kitchen Kings are my favourites from them. They’re the only 2 I seek out to listen to. I’d say No Competition is one of their worst, I haven’t heard the Central Cee one yet.

I certainly don’t find them as bad as everyone else on here. Dirtbike can’t rap but Adz has some good hooks. His work on the Skepta/Chip album was good too.

UFO & Ferrari Horses are both ok. Top half of their discography.

Very impressive how they've racked up so many top 40 hits without any really capturing the public's mass attention.

My top 3 would be UFO, No Dior & Home Pussy. Nookie is underrated too. I'd say Kitchen Kings is one of their worst actually.

'New Dior' is actually pretty decent too, forgot about that one as they were the featured artist on it.

The RAYE part of 'Ferrari Horses' manages to be one of the most cringeworthy parts imo  (and it's not even that different from what DBE themselves bring on the song other than being a female voice)

Overseas did indeed become their first top 10 single on what feels like the 200th attempt

Funny Bunny Nails was the most popular album track becoming their 19th top 40 hit.

The AJ Tracey feature, 'Make You Smile' is blowing up on TikTok and going to make the top 40 this week and looks set to be a big hit in the new year.

Wait... 'Make You Smile' has an instrumental that's not completely comatose? And no lyrics that are obviously cringeworthy? And no horrific falsetto thrown in just to ruin it for no reason? Who is this and what have they done to D-Block Europe? Think that has to be easily their best song, not saying a lot but I do actually genuinely like it a decent amount, hallelujah. (I think it helps that it sounds more like an AJ Tracey song than a D-Block Europe one but I will take it after years of shite )

'Overseas' isn't entirely awful either (finally hearing that for the first time now as well x) which also puts it in the upper echelon of their discography. The worst thing about it is, shockingly, Central Cee's verse which has some pretty brazenly uncomfortable lyrics. Not to mention that it sounds pretty distractingly badly mixed (unless that's just on YouTube, I don't really care to listen to it on Spotify to find out). But the instrumental is ok enough on that as well and the hook has a decent melody, I definitely much prefer this being their biggest hit over 'UFO'.

It's better than most of their other output 'Overseas' but some of the lyrics are questionable.
