I thought they would have played the climbing and new entry football songs so disappointed in the 'Vindaloo' skip but guess Atomic Kitten, Neil Diamond and Baddiel/Skinner WILL be played though.

Biography

On the insanely catchy dance-pop bopper “Dance Monkey,” Toni Watson’s high-flying wails instantly grab you. The chart-dominating track from 2019 was inspired by the Australian singer/songwriter’s experience as a full-time busker. Just a year prior, Watson (born in Mornington Peninsula near Melbourne) quit her retail job, packed up her Casio keyboard and loop pedal, and headed north to the surfer town of Byron Bay, where she found her voice playing the streets several hours a day. After catching the eye of a local music lawyer, Tones And I scored a deal with Sony-affiliated Bad Batch Records and released her 2019 debut single, “Johnny Run Away,” a groovy electro-pop gem dedicated to her best friend. It was a runaway success in Australia, and “Dance Monkey,” released two months later, pushed her into the international spotlight. Both songs appear on her debut EP, The Kids Are Coming, which shines with Tones And I’s potent mix of poignant tales and positive vibes. But she’s since admitted it’s not her most honest work: “I put fake names under all these songs,” she admitted to Apple Music. “I didn’t show people the real side of me.” So, she returned in 2020 with singles “Bad Child” and “Ur So F**kInG cOoL,” both of which let her distinctive voice power through throbbing beats, rumbling bass, and all her deepest insecurities. - Apple Music

This is pretty dull - sounds like weaker than either Doja or Weeknd.
oh my I really thought the Doja Cat/The Weeknd duet was gonna be huge, top 3 minimum :D
I prefer Dance Monkey over this, its not ticking any boxes for me.
Can't think of a single decent single by the Jonas Brothers or their members apart from DNCE 'Cake by the Ocean'. They're a bit crap really aren't they.

'Cake By The Ocean' is the absolute worst Jonas-adjacent hit though x (although that song with Karol G runs it close, thank God that didn't become a hit)

'Close' by Nick Jonas and 'See No More' by Joe Jonas were both good songs imo but aside from that it is really a whole lot of ok at best. 'Leave Before You Love Me' is like a 7/10 for me and it may actually be my favourite song with the name Jonas Brothers attached to it!

Biography

Some call the end of summer the “slow news season”—school's still out, holidays are in full swing, and headlines tend to get weird—and Doja Cat (born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini in 1995) knew just what to do about it. In August of 2018, the Los Angeles singer and rapper dropped “Mooo!”, a sultry R&B jam, thick with double entendres and sung from the perspective of a cow. It went viral, thanks to an unforgettable, improbably catchy chorus that had people wondering: Could she possibly be for real? But Doja, who released her debut EP, Purrr!, in 2014, and her first album, Amala, in 2018, was no novelty act. In the years since, she has proven herself one of pop music’s savviest, most audacious characters. She raps nimbly, switching up her cadence from one syllable to the next, and her pop-culture nods (referencing actresses Tia and Tamera Mowry or sampling blink-182 and Paul Anka) are just as unpredictable as her dizzying flow. Her presentation is both tough and coquettish. As she demonstrated over and over on her 2019 album, Hot Pink, she assumes a fun and fundamentally empowered stance in her singing and rapping about sex. And woe to anyone who might take issue with that: “Sex is meaningful, it is!” she told Apple Music, with her trademark defiant charm. - Apple Music

Biography

hi there! my name is olivia! I’m 18 years old and writing songs is my favorite thing to do in the world. I’ve been doing it for as long as I can remember and I fall more in love with it every day. The first song I ever got published was called “All I Want.” I wrote it for a show I act in and it was a super cool experience that opened up a lot of doors for me. On the last day before Covid lockdown, I met the team at Interscope/Geffen records and a producer named Dan Nigro for the first time. It turned out to be a very momentous day for so many reasons. I spent most of quarantine writing songs in my living room and producing them in a garage, including ‘drivers license’. It was always a really special song to me but I never expected the response it got. It absolutely blew my mind and I still to this day refuse to believe it all actually happened. The day I am writing this is actually the day that I turn in my debut album! I’m sooo excited for you to hear it and I feel so grateful that I get to make music for my job. - Spotify

Biography

When singer-songwriter Billie Eilish feels something new, the first thing she does is take out her phone and write it down. “You can write anything,” she told Apple Music in an interview for the Up Next series. “You can say the truth, and you can not tell anyone that it’s the truth—you can just write it, and it’ll be yours.” Raised and homeschooled in Los Angeles by actor/musician parents, Eilish (born Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell in 2001) started writing songs when she was around 11, exploring a strain of melancholy, minimal and slightly surrealistic pop influenced as much by Lana Del Rey as the radical honesty of rappers like Tyler, the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt. Writing and recording with her brother—and producer—Finneas O’Connell at their parents’ house, Eilish released dont smile at me in 2017, followed by an ever-evolving series of singles—a prime example of the fact that, in the streaming era, artists are now free to move directly from their bedrooms into the spotlight. Despite the attention, Eilish is doing her best to stake out a space of freedom and fluidity, expanding her range of collaborators (Vince Staples, Khalid) and dodging easy definition. “If people think I have a sound, if people are like, ‘Oh yeah, her sound is this,’ if someone asks you what my sound is and you have an answer for them—you’re wrong,” she told Beats 1’s Zane Lowe. “Instead of trying to find a sound, when I want to make something and when I have an idea of what I want to make, I’m just going to make that.” - Apple Music

Billie Eilish easily getting the best song in the top 40! Beautiful haunting track.
Unpopular opinion but all of billie’s music are just boring snoozefests. My favourite song by her is ‘therefore I am’ and even that is a 7/10 for me. This is a 2/10 if you’re lucky, not a fan at all.
Billie's completely lost me this era, Therefore I Am is the only one I've cared for. This is better than the last couple I guess?
Pretentious as ever from Billie Eyelash but at least it's a lot more interesting than the last one.

How is she pretentious?
