July 20, 20213 yr Author Tones & I has said that she's eager to write Australia's entry for Eurovision 2022, even if she's not the one singing it :o @1417232399528693769 Would you like to see her go for it, or prefer to see Dami Im again as pre-Covid she was expressing her desire to return? I love "Dance Monkey" so I'm open to this idea and would love a battle to the death between them both in Australia Decides :heehee:
July 20, 20213 yr I hate Dance Monkey with a passion because it gets stuck in my head for *weeks* at a time. So if she was to pen it then it might be a very memorable track and that could give them a solid result
July 20, 20213 yr I like Tones, I know she's marmite but I got her album and there's a lot of good pop on it if you can get past her voice (I personally like it). I think as a songwriter she has a real ear for melody and is clever lyrically, so even if she doesn't sing it she could certainly write a great song for somebody. Not sure her style would suit Dami mind.
July 20, 20213 yr I think after a DNQ they should either bring back Dami (I’m bias and she wants to do it) or go internal and really select a stellar song with a fab performer.
July 20, 20213 yr I would kill for a Dami comeback. If she did I would go to ESC for sure because Sound of Silence live was just mind blowing I like Tones, I know she's marmite but I got her album and there's a lot of good pop on it if you can get past her voice (I personally like it). I think as a songwriter she has a real ear for melody and is clever lyrically, so even if she doesn't sing it she could certainly write a great song for somebody. Not sure her style would suit Dami mind. Dami is pretty adaptable as an artist so I think she could make something work for her. She’s thrown a few solid uptempo bangers out
July 20, 20213 yr I like her Cloudy Day so I think she can bring in fantastic bangers. Her songs would require visuals but I'm sure Australia can deliver. Edited July 20, 20213 yr by uhsting
July 21, 20213 yr Although I don't like her songs it does appear she can produce a hit or two. I'd rather she maybe write and another artist sing it (Dami Im, Samantha Jade) but would be ok with Tones & I singing it I guess.
October 27, 20213 yr First three confirmed names for Australia Decides 2022: Jaguar Jonze (last competed in 2020) PAULINI (Australian Idol alumnus) Isaiah Firebrace (Australian entry in 2017) & TBA additional artist
October 27, 20213 yr Author Isaiah is EASILY Australia's worst entrant so far and I hated Jaguar's "Rabbit Hole" in 2020 so these first names aren't leaving me thrilled, Isaiah better be singing with someone really good
October 27, 20213 yr Paulini could be good, would love to see her with an uptempo. Is Dami Im likely to be part of the eventual lineup after her promise to return prior to Covid and the Montaigne rollover? Not overjoyed to see Isaiah back but I liked Rabbit Hole by Jaguar. Would love to see Delta or The Veronicas show up in this, though maybe they feel competing through a national final and losing would be too much of a risk.
October 27, 20213 yr Yassssss Jaguar Jonze!!!! She grew a lot in her artistry after her participation in previous NS. She had a few hits in my chart such as ASTRONAUT and TESSELLATIONS, so I'm very excited to hear what more she has to offer! Isaiah coming back is not good news sadly Edited October 27, 20213 yr by uhsting
November 27, 20213 yr Sheldon Riley, G Nat!on and Andrew Lambrou are now also confirmed to be taking part.
