Im excited if that’s how the case will look! Think it’s quite well done personally.

The bonus disc being made up in the style of a London Records promo disc is cute and I love it

Oh wow it looks really cute! I have nothing to play CD's on anymore but have pre-ordered regardless.

Amazing! Just ordered my copy.

Isn't All Around The World the track that was supposed to serve as the lead single from their second album? I distinctly remember an official press release from back in the day stating that it was all set to go, but then they came across Freak Like Me instead. If it's the same track, it must've been re-recorded with Heidi, too.

Milk us Queens.

Yes, I do seem to remember something about All Around the World being the lead single to the second album. It doesn't surprise me if they did re-record it with Heidi - rumour was that Groove Is Going On was also a 1.0 cast-off.

It says ‘currently unavailable’ when I click on the link.

Is it sold out or is it because it’s locked to the UK?

Coz it’s locked to the UK! If you change the delivery to place to a UK address then it’ll suddenly become available again
Thanks, got a message from my friend a few hours ago. They’ve managed to order it for me. Excited for the bonus demos.

Ok now I am mega excited to hear this one.

Honestly not hugely surprised that Angels will have recycled some OT material in places. They turned AWDF around fairly quick considering they got dropped, found a new member, had to gell and then got on with it.

I wonder if some of these 1.0 ones were later recordings that were always intended for a second album. Not sure if they did much work for album 2 before Siobhan left but you’d think they’d maybe done a session or two

Considering girl groups in those days where churning out one album per year and Siobhan left in August (?) 2001, I'm pretty sure they must've done at least some sessions for album two. Pretty sure if she hadn't left and they hadn't gotten dropped by London, a new single would've been out early 2002 at the latest (IIRC they were even discussing a fifth single before Soul Sound bombed and Siobhan left). Considering they jumped to Island and got a new member, it's quite impressive they could get Freak Like Me out by April 2002!

That’s what I was thinking because Three was only a year or so older than Angels. And had Mutya not had Tahlia then Taller would have followed a year earlier than it did.

If I remember rightly it was always reported that Island bought the rights to some of the music from London so I’m assuming they went for some demos to help them pull together Angels. And it is usually reported that album two was in progress before they signed with Island so they must have recorded some stuff with Siobhan that Heidi either re-recorded or part rewrote And re-recorded

But the two albums only share Rockstar as a producer. Just Don’t Need This could be a OT hangover, it’d fit stylistically. But then again Stronger is supposed to be from a proper 2.0 session so maybe not.

Ach who knows. Would love a tell all from Keisha and Mutya one day on 2.0/3.0 that actually picks apart what stuff was carried over. I don’t see it as a bad thing at all, like NGDA is a great track and it’s great it was rescued from the bin after Taller but I would love to hear the original
