Oooh I hope we get an interview too would be good to address a few things for her and try clear the air. Super excited for the performance tho

I'm not sure. I hope she does, but I'm not sure such a serious topic would be brought up on a light chat show like Graham Norton.

Graham doesn't do those kind of interviews. It doesn't work when there's 3 other guests sat there.

Bye bye

You clearly do not like Jesy and you've said you're done with her about 100 times, so I don't get why you're still in the thread? If you don't like her fair enough but rude comments are not okay.

I didn't go into the L(SL) thread saying 'good' and 'bye bye' when it was their biggest flop, even though i'm not the biggest fan of the song. Just be respectful.

Like i've said, let the people that enjoy the song at least have a single thread to enjoy it without constant negativity and snide remarks.

Oh i wonder if Jesy will perform at the MOBOs

You're not even funny, I guess you missed the memo to show some basic levels of respect to other people in this forum who want a single place where they can talk about the single without snide comments.

Some of you are just being hateful for the fun of it, there is no need for comments or poor attempts at 'jokes' like this in this thread. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you post anything remotely positive/respectful about Jesy.

You can not like her and still be respectful with going about it.

Yeah white people have performed before but if that is an option, as much as she'd love to, if she gets asked/has been asked, she needs to say no to that one, now more than ever.
Bye bye

Shock another negative comment from you as per.

1 Elton John & Dua Lipa - Cold Heart (49.1k)

2 Ed Sheeran - Shivers (45.5k)

3 Jesy Nelson feat. Nicki Minaj - Boyz (27.7k) *

4 CKay - love nwantiti (ah ah ah) (27.1k)

5 Glass Animals - Heat Waves (23.6k)

Hope she can hold onto the Top 5!

I mean… I know people are saying this is one of the most disastrous solo launches ever, but Jesy has still managed to get a top 5 debut single, which in 2021 is not easy.

Top 3/4 would be a quite an achievement. The question is whether it will have any longevity.

I agree it's a great achievement, plus I absolutely love the song personally! The song in my opinion is a good song, it's just the whole controversy which make it messy.

I think Jesy was 1000% right when she said people will either love it or hate it and you definitely see mixed reviews (I guess some of the negatives reviews are just people who want to hate on her and can't see past the drama).

I've looked on the official charts to see where other former girl group members first solo songs released peaked (where they are the main artist/joint main artist).

I just thought it'd be interesting!

Cheryl - Fight For This Love – 1

Emma Bunton - What Took You So Long - 1

Mel B ft Missy Elliot - I Want You Back - 1

Victoria Beckham/Dane Bowers/True Steppers - Out Of Your Mind - 2

Geri Halliwell - Look At Me - 2

Melanie C - Going Down – 4

Beyonce – Work It Out - 7

Louise - Light Of My Life - 8

Kimberly Walsh/Aggro Santos - Like You Like - 8

Normani & Khalid - Love Lies - 12

Mutya & George Michael - This Is Not Real Love - 12

Nicole Scherzinger - Baby Love - 14

Siobhan - Overrated - 19

Nadine Coyle - Insatiable - 26

Nicola Roberts - Beat Of My Drum - 27

Una Healy - The Waiting Game - 28

Camila Cabello/Shawn Mendes - I Know What You Did Last Summer - 42

These are just some artists that I could think of from the top of my head!

Oh my. I'm not sure why you've decided to get worked up?

It is what it is. I think it'll peak within the top five (but obviously the recent drama will handicap it). If anything I wonder how the second single will perform but that's just me.

Being the first to go solo from a highly successful group like Little Mix, top 5 debut is no big deal. All the first solo singles from girl groups of their status went #1. I know it's 2021, but still!

I'm sorry but it is a big deal in 2021 and I don't think those artists that got Number 1 had Ed Sheeran or Elton/Dua against them :P Let's not downplay it because it's Jesy, if anyone else in the group went solo and got a Top 5 it'd be a big deal (btw I am so here for solo music from the other three girls).

Plus the the numbers I gave were the peaks, who knows the song could peak higher than this week, unlikely but who knows!

Not downplaying it. Top 5 is great, but it's expected. Anything less than top 5/top 10 would be a horrendous flop. And no, years ago, songs usually peaked week 1.

Is it expected? Prior to this mess people were making digs that the single was going to flop so it seems like not everyone predicted it was going to smash.

I wouldn't say it's expected as a lot of people wanted her to flop (and still do). I don't think just because you're in a big girl group you're guaranteed to do well, look at Nicola, Nadine, Mutya, Nicole with their first solo songs!

Looking into this made me realise even more that so many people from girl groups go solo :P

I feel like we may get a Jade solo single next year!!
