The lip syncing was so bad. The problem with dancing so much to intense choreography like that (which, I'll give her credit for, was impressive) is that it makes it so much more obvious you're miming because it's impossible to sing well while moving like that. I think it would have been better if she sang the verses live and done a couple ad-libs at the end and just mimed the chorus (basically like Little Mix performances) other than fully miming. I also did cringe badly at the sort of gangster posing she did during Nicki's rap.

As for the interview I think she did come across pretty well other than the 'bad blood' comment. I did find it a bit sort of sad for her that Graham was already sort of implying there could be a reunion in future and she done that 'who knows/never say never' type answer. She's only on her first single ffs.

I can't see it doing anything for the song whatsoever but it might have helped some people warm to her and shifted some of the awful PR she's had so far I guess.

Edit - Actually just noticed she said she absolutely loved her time in Little Mix yet she was saying in other interviews she was miserable?

Yeah I agree, if some parts were live and mimed the chorus and stuff it definitely would have been better (that was what I was expecting). I feel like I could hear her more towards the end but very quiet?

Honestly, right now I can't see her coming back but hopefully in 10 years or so. I think Jesy has kinda burned a lot of bridges especially about the management.

I do think the interview section was good and reminded some people what Jesy as a person is like, humour wise! In a lot of her interviews she's actually said she loved being in Little Mix, not sure if you've watched many? But yeah she definitely did say too that she was quite miserable, probably due to mental health/insecurities and whatever issues she had with the team.

I'm still so gutted how the four are not friends, i'm really hoping one day things can get resolved.

I do think it’s plausible that she was both though. Maybe now that she is out of it she is able to look back and appreciate the highs for what it was although she was uncountable miserable for alot of it too.

I honestly want her to finish trying to promote this song and take some time out. I will always have time for Jesy but this attempt at a solo career at this time is just not going to help her public image - she needs to start some serious damage control.

PR at work. Maybe we can all agree that celebs lie in interviews, but are just taught (properly or not) how to say the "right" things.

Yeah i think her team should’ve cancelled this performance. Obviously it’s a good promo slot for her song but she’s now getting mocked online again now and i’m sure that’s the last thing she wants.

I haven’t seen the performance yet so i cant speak about that but i also haven’t seen any good comments online about it.. But from what i have seen it looks like people are using this to be rude and to hate on her (Not talking about on here obviously, i mean on social media) I’m not even a fan of her or the song itself but this is all such a mess.

I'm still so gutted how the four are not friends, i'm really hoping one day things can get resolved.

Honestly, same. One of the main things i think about when i think of Little Mix is their friendship. It’s really sad to see how this has all turned out especially when fans have watched them be as close as sisters for a whole decade.

It's so sad :( even for us fans being so divided.

I'll continue supporting all four, always.

I thought the performance was OK, nothing could really sell that song to me though. Jesy is a great dancer, but I don’t know if that choreography was the one.

Of course the hate train is back at 100. Twitter is mocking the performance for being lip synced and saying Little Mix would never? Um, I’m pretty sure a few of Little Mix’s dance heavy performances were lip synced. Jesy and Leigh-Anne also did a lot of lip syncing on the LM5 tour.

Unfortunately Jesy is damned either way at this point, everything she says or does will be hyper criticised. And I fully stand by the lashings she got for the Boyz video, however I’m seeing a lot of jibes about her looks and voice again, I hope she is OK.

Bore off she’s conniving! You’re deluded if you think it’s anything other than subtly putting the blame on the girls!

She does it all the time digs then follows up with but I think they’re great...

That whole narrative is why I’ve been losing my shit since she left!

Nearly as conniving as you with your nasty comments 24/7. Your comments are soooooo predictable.

Joel, please don't kid yourself you love finding things to hate on her for.

She's got the exact same personality as in LM. Honestly some of you former fans are too much, god forbid if she ever does something to herself one day and some of you guys will be absolutely ashamed about how harsh you have all been about her.

Yes she may have done questionable things but can we not paint her out to be a villain for literally anything.

Also please lets not act like LM haven't used pre-recorded vocals for performances too, so lets not be a hypocrite.

AMEN!!! Honestly I’m actually sick and tired of reading Joel’s negative nasty comments. At this point it’s actually funny, such a hypocrite. Nothing more than a troll :puke2:

Not a horrible performance by any means, but I also don't think you can get away with lipsynching entirely to the cd version these days either. I'm pretty surprised that her team at least didn't have her pre-record some "live" vocals as it probably would've looked a lot better.

Oh the Jesy lovers are back in force attacking me for an opinion on her performance...

On iTunes it’s moved up 4 spots to 20 from 24.

I’ve not actually seen one positive comment online (perhaps the odd one) and even a couple of mates messaged me and said did you see how bad Jesy’s performance was.

I mean come on...It was terrible.

So I’m a troll? I think people forget I’ve actually been positive at times about her! Stop portraying me to something I’m not just because my opinions aren’t the same as yours.

It’s a forum, If Little Mix had done a rubbish performance I’d happy say it (which I have before).

the performance itself wasn't terrible, it was choreographed well (as much as that song can be) but her lip syncing is so BAD, she's always been a bad lip syncer but at least do the verses live or SOMETHING? little mix have had their fair share of lip syncing moments too but they sing live most of the time esp their verses/TV performances

I agree it was choreographed well too but she seemed really awkward and it came across cringe (to me)

I think it’s just the song especially live it just seems really cringe like ‘I wanna be a baddie but I’m from a pop girl band’ I’m sure if she had released a ballad and sung live I wouldn’t be slagging it off.

I think people forget that Jesy was my favourite and yes my opinions are brutal but I can’t think of one positive thing she’s done since leaving except the Ferne cotton interview where I’ve felt like she was actually being her true authentic self.

Take the Norton interview she also claims she loved her time in Little Mix (But every other interview she’s just said she was miserable most of the time - The worst years of her life - but loved the girls)

It all just feels very false and that’s why I get so irate.

I thought the performance was ok. Very standard and no wow-factor.

I actually quite like the song, though it does feel a rather desperate attention seeking venture (especially the video - which gets worse on multiple views).

The worst part of the performance was the black outfits on black background. It makes it difficult to see whats going on.

I would like her to do well. I would also like her to get a better PR team and be a bit more savvy. All her interviews are like reading from a script.

She may get a few hits but she has no chance of a big album. Album sales are just not there unless you're a mega star. Harry has been in the top 40 for 2 years and is only JUST coming up for 2 x platinum.

Jesy is, however, hilarious and has such a good energy sometimes that I think she would do great in TV.

Why would she mime when we know she is an incredible live vocalist? Are her team trying to sabotage?
She wanted to da a choreo focused performance, which is but you need to make the miming a bit more convincing than that.
I also thought her swearing was misguided too. It was probably to ditch the 'girl group' image further but doing it in front of Dame Judi Dench was a bit mortifying, particularly the F bomb.
I feel like it was a very solid solo debut performance I enjoyed it . I feel like no matter how she did people were always going to criticise as she is public enemy number 1 at the moment and can’t do anything right it seems .
