Taylor Swift just announced she's bringing forward the release of Red TV by a week, to the same date as this

 

So now they're contending with Ed, Abba and Taylor :cry:

taylor is not a threat, her re-release sales are not big at all - the real scares are Ed, ABBA and Rod(?)

Interesting that Taylor has moved... do we think Adele is releasing that week?

 

Also, this Taylor album will do better than 'Fearless' (it's more popular) but thankfully LM's various versions *should* put them ahead. (Now I've said this Taylor will probs still end up outselling lmao 🙃)

 

Ed, ABBA & Rod (ughhhh) will be the biggest contenders and threats I'd think? But as long as the album stabilises and has longevity I don't think I care too much about the peak anymore, with all the competition.

It will be a top 3 and I expect it will stick around. But it could really do with SOME promo beyond Jade doing radio.

 

Thankfully they're well supported so it should get some media attentjkn

Honestly I don't really care about the debut chart position, I just want it to break records by it's longevity.

Really excited for the new songs - i'm going to pretend Love (Sweet Love) was a blip and the other songs will be great.

I feel like there's so much they could do to drive sales and excitement for the album.

 

I think with all the massive releases come up in the rest of the year this will get a bit lost but I'm hoping it can get some nice longevity and a nice long chart run.

Hmm I think the release date they've got is more ideal than moving it a week before. A week earlier would contend with ABBA in week 1 and Ed in week 2. In theory ABBA in week 2 and Ed in week 3 is less challenging for them.

Will be interesting to see how many LM songs there will be on spotify 200 the Friday this album is released. I'm actually really excited for this!

They should’ve released it October. There’s no big releases besides Ed at the end.

Woooow that is more like it!

The chorus sounds great but the ending throws me off a bit. Very Gloves Up in the worst way possible.

I still prefer Love (Sweet Love) to what I've just heard. But I have realised my preferences aren't always those of the general public, so people might still eat it up. I think it's decent though.
