Jesy ultimately broke her contract by leaving (notice whenever someone leaves bands like this they're usually off work sick for a bit) which is when papers are being drawn to have someone officially leave.

 

Otherwise ir would be too easy for someone to be having a bad day, day they quit and rhen come back once they've had a couple of days off.

 

In buying Jesy out it means that she no longer gets to profit from the band which is a smart move on behalf of thr girls if they are planning on releasing more albums. And also a smart move ahead of releasing a GH album for which she appears on 75% of the tracks.

 

It was probably the quickest and easiest way for everyone to completely cut ties and I expect there is some stipulations in there too regarding how much footage of her can be used etc

I’m really interested to see the vinyl sales for this today.

 

Hopefully it’s within the top 10 sales in vinyl for the year.

If this 3 million pounds paying off business is true, it gives me the impression Jesy is never rejoining the group again. And even in the unlikely scenario she tries to in 10 years time or so, they'll give her the Westlife treatment.

I mean I hope she doesn’t join again anyway - she has burnt every possible bridge I don’t even think the girls would want her back.

 

It’s comforting to know that she doesn’t benefit from *anything* they do anymore regardless if it features her or not

If the reports are true that seems like a pretty low payout considering she won’t ever earn a penny from anything ever again.

 

As much as she brought this on herself I do worry about her future because I really can’t see her having a hit again or any single even going silver.

Wouldn’t you? She’s made it pretty clear she hated her time in the band towards the end, so I think people WANT her to be regretting her decision more than she probably ever will.

If there's any decision to regret is releasing that horrible song and jumping on a cheap strategy to get people talking, besides not standing up for her 10 year friend during a public humiliation.

Time puts things in perspective. Yes she hated her time especially in the last few years; but I think that later she might think she could have handled it differently. I don't expect her to openly say she regrets leaving, but it's possible she will regret especially if her solo career does not become half as successful as she thought it would be. Lots of artists have done the same and came back. Geri Haliwell is a classic example. Yet years later, she was the one working the hardest to bring them all together. I believe little mix girls were like family, and like most families, years after a major fallout, people often want reconciliation.

But I do think there is a difference between wanting to reconcile with the girls and rejoining Little Mix which the post I was replying to insinuated that she would be regretting leaving the band. I think she will probably miss the girls and vice versa at some point but she’s made it clear that she was beyond unhappy in the group.

Jesy will still get some profits, it's insane to think she wouldn't, however it'll be smaller than she did while she was in the band. Also all this stuff about her song being 'bad', taste is subjective. I enjoy the song and many others do and some don't, that is fine.

 

Anyway back to the discussion of what this topic is actually about...

 

My Perrie and Jade picture discs arrived :wub: Gutted they cancelled my Leigh-Anne picture disc.

 

I also got a signed MASSIVE art card of the girls in the purple/blue dresses.

I hope it manages to stay top 10 this week.

That's honestly so annoying. They could have easily got a top 3 if they tried.

 

I just hope it sticks around and goes to Platinum quicker than LM5/Confetti did/will.

She’ll get on with her life and enjoy being a very rich woman. She’ll find another lane for herself, all the girls will, I’m not expecting huge solo success for any of them, maybe Jade will manage some niche success with the gays.
