honestly feels like it was just the tour to me... i'm still really shocked Between Us (song) wasn't pushed as a single. No and Cut You Off were so dreadful, I can't believe No was even a single. I think they even disliked it as they ommited it from their tour setlist one night in.

They did make some odd choices. To only have a performance of 'Between Us' the week 'No' was released as a single. No announcement of BU video.

LSL in Oct followed by BU in December would've done much better

They also kind of just...stopped getting great support after 'Kiss My' which was odd. 'Love Sweet Love' and 'No' both got dropped from Hot Hits after a couple of weeks and not even being in the top 30 on there, both were some of the only ever Little Mix singles never to make the Radio 1 A-list too.
'No' never quite clicked for me either, but it felt like by that point they'd totally checked out (especially after how 'Love' performed just beforehand)

I think the lack of support was linked to the lack of presence.

Like they had a good year considering they done precisely one performance across 5 singles.

There's only so far pre-recorded material can take you.

Yeah shit when you line it up...

A lot of Little Mix with a little effort

Little Mix were at peak celebrity status/commercial relevance from The Search til Boyz. Two singles flopping after that says more about their overexposure than anything else.
I think Between Us would have been the perfect lead, it would have went top 20 probably with a longer chart run that lsl and no combined

I'm really not sure "Overexposure" is a thing tbh. I really find that hard to buy into, when there are artists who can literally be everywhere, even in between eras, and it doesn't affect them whatsoever.

In all honesty, I think the whole Between Us era was very meh, Obviously two of the girls were pregnant, but the music videos have 0 replay value. I am in the minority who prefers Love Sweet Love to No - but both could do with a revamp.

I think they girls wanted to try The Saturdays’ approach to an album release.

Sweet Melody has had way more streams on Spotify than its YouTube views, which makes me think the public warmed up to the song regardless. I still think it would have reached number 1 if the video was bad. So Love (Sweet Love) and No were in my opinion, not affected by their videos. I don't think its oversaturation either. Heartbreak Anthem and Kiss My Uh Oh were collaborations that benefited from the other artistes linked to the songs. Anne-Marie is a UK radio stations fave, and the song even only reached number 10 after the girl power remix.

Ten years is long enough for any manufactured pop band to get to its natural decline. It's the way it is, even if the songs are still good. The start of the Confetti era was the hint the decline was inevitable. BUS and Holiday were in my opinion, better than a lot of the songs in the charts at the time, but they both didn't get the peak I think they deserved. And I still don't think it's to do with the videos.

Sweet Melody was overwhelmingly good that it provided some sort of reset, which paved the way for Confetti single to have a decent performance. This was of course boosted by the headlines made fromJesy leaving and the pregnancies.

If Jesy had not left, and there were no pregnancies, their decline would have been much more abysmal.

Let's be honest - they didn't really make an effort to try and mine out proper hit singles for the extra tracks on the greatest hits because they didn't need it. They all knew they were taking a break any way and a hits collection essentially sells itself. Love Sweet Love and No being hits would've been the extra icing on the cake, but no real effort went into making them hits.

Love Sweet Love flopped because it was poor

No flopped because it was poor (Plus really confusing with Cut You off / Galantis remix being pushed)

I think they should have left it longer and released Between Us as the final single / Lead for the album.

I love Love Sweet Love and No...But I can see why the public wouldn’t. ‘No’ sounded like The Saturdays (Classic Girlband).

On top of that there was no interest from Leigh and Perrie because they were busy being mums.

Agreed.

LSL was not single material and the understandable lack of effort and boring videos did not help.

Name an other artist who had a campaign like Little Mix did with the Confetti album. Sweet Melody, Confetti and Heartbreak Anthem were still on radio and playlists when they released the Anne-Marie collab and then released two further singles.

There's only so much support that the girls can get. Not even Ed Sheeran could get away with releasing so much content in a year and expect everything to be a big hit. If there's too many songs released then some are going to overshadow the others.
