They are having a couple year hiatus after touring is finished, we already know this.

I just hope they don’t “announce” it. let it just be an organic break. And then come back in 2024 with a new LM3 album after they’ve had solo industry experience when they can make a truly, rested, insane pop album.

It definitely would get them more sales, more people going the tour and the GP caring more about the future singles as they'll think it is the end.

I feel a bit conflicted. Part of me knows they've truly earned a hiatus, and part of me also knows that most (?all) groups eventually get to that point. I don't really see any of them being huge musically as a soloist. The music industry is unfortunately ageist when it comes to women and the start of their solo career. Of course this much talked about solo might be other non-music endeavours. I don't know how well Leigh-Anne's swimwear line is doing, cos I've heard rumours it's struggling. I guess they'd probably also do other TV-related bits and bobs.

Reunions after hiatus can go either way. For some, it's huge; for others it's ridiculously poor. Anf for some, the reunion never even materialises.

LM is still the only established and active girl band in this country.

They deserve it but ugh, I've said this before but the music industry has changed so much since they debuted that I truly think they're the last ever big Western girl group. It's too difficult to launch pop groups nowadays and reality TV shows don't have the same impact they used to either.

 

I feel like once they split it could be years (probably a decade) before we even get another top 10 from a girl group again. :(

Yeah they deserve the break 100% but I’m also devastated as above they are the last remaining girl group.

 

I remember even back in the day it was hard enough to break through girl groups but now I’d say it’s near impossible especially with no platform.

 

I really hope they decide to come back even after a 1/2 years break they are so needed in the music industry and it’s clear they can still sell arena’s which is where the money is.

 

I’d love to see them pop up now and again even outside music doing various brand promotions as a three or even interviews. I’m really worried it’s heading towards a scenario where in 2 years time they still haven’t announced a comeback and it’s all silent.

 

Completely understandable though given there whole life is consumed and planned out with LM stuff, I don’t think we even realise just how intense it’s been for them not really being able to live there own lives without emails/WhatsApp’s /interviews/rehearsals/video shoots/studio time and everything dictated for 10 years (even more so in the early days) it’s insane!

I agree that they very much deserve some time off. They’ve worked so crazy hard over the last ten years and achieved so much! In my opinion they’re one of the most consistent UK pop acts. We could always rely on some epic bops from them and it’ll be a shame to not have that feeling anymore.

The break is good because Little Mix have a kind of "always here" presence, and a break will mean when they return it will be MASSIVE, given how many smashes they have.
