Oh I never posted my thoughts on this album - 'Sculptures Of Anything Goes' was very comfortably my favourite album track so that's a good choice x It was a decent album overall but didn't really live up to the quality of the singles ('There'd Better Be A Mirrorball' is up with their best songs ever for me, really liked 'I Ain't Quite Where I Think I Am' too as a more funky moment and 'Body Paint' took a few listens to click but am also a fan of that now). Also liked the title track and 'Hello You' but the rest of the album ranged from pleasant to a little dull.
Strange cos R1 just added Hello You to their playlist

So their performance at Glasto split the public - what’d you all make of it?
Alex Turner is basically a parody now. There's changing the style of music you write and release, and that's fine, bands change and evolve and sometimes you'll like it and others not, but festival sets should be different to what you perform at your own gigs as it's a different audience, overall it was OK but they changed way too many of the arrangements to sound like they could have been from The Car, the versions of 505 and Mardy Bum especially were an abomination.
I enjoyed it like just as you say should do more crowd favs the way they were meant to be!
I've not seen it yet, was it a like-for-like copy of their tour setlist? Would explain the lack of deviation from it if they wanted to stay 'in the zone'. However, I agree that the majority wouldn't want their best songs messed about with
