Do you guys think he’ll block Mariah Carey from getting a second year at #1 this year?

Not invested in Mariah getting no.1 anymore now that she has but I’m absolutely positive Ed has planned this year’s Christmas no.1 and all it’s remixes to the finest detail. And it’s not like anyone else is gonna try for it.

I am glad Afterglow isn’t included in the album, it’s my least favourite Ed song. I am really excited for this album, I look forward to Ed having 3 songs top 10 on album release week :P Visiting hours is sounding very lovely after a few listens, I can see why it’s not the next single but it’s still a great album track and I’m sure it will debut top 40 next week easily.

Ya I can Ed really going for it, il be invested in Mariah doing well but now that she finally has the number 1 the investment isnt as strong.

Lol actually Olivia seems to be like the only major artist who definitely doesnt do collabs since her "Sour" era.
If you count her HSM releases she did already release a collab with Joshua Bassett not long ago lol ~

Yeah I think he'll comfortably get the #1 album of the year.

I'm intrigued to see what his opening week sales will be like

So is he not counting that awful collaboration project as an album?
didn’t he try to call it an EP despite it being the length of an album? and that it was an “experimental” project?

worst thing was he said he did zero promo

despite the song being on all imaginable playlists on radio and streaming

Haha I still laugh about the experimental comment. Like throwing a few rappers on your songs means it's experimental.

I think the point was missed on this. Promo generally refers to live performances and interviews, of which Ed did none/very few for that era. Exposure and promo are not the same thing.

No.6 was very much a side project, by definition it technically is a "studio album" but it was obviously not intended as the direct follow-up to Divide.

Calling it a side project reeked of being prententious. He can call it what he likes. He released singles off it and it was pretty much to get him some more no.1s without having to put his usual effort into an album.

Yes, I’m cynical about everything Ed does. Must be my jealousy.
