A pity about Robbie/Take That, they could have excelled in this round!

Feels I suppose is mid-tempo??? It’s probably up-tempo if it was by any of the other artists tbf

A few different media outlets such as MTV and Billboard described it as a "mid tempo jam" (or along those lines) when the song was new. It does have a reasonably slow BPM!

Some weird mid tempo/ballad choices there :lol:

Obviously what classifies as a ballad or midtempo is always going to be subjective. Any eyebrow-raising choices were discussed within the team and approved to be within the spirit of the round, ultimately that's all we can do on some borderline tracks because there's no objective way to tell!

Really hoping these choives pay off for Little Mix and Britney. We were debating to go cheaper (Secret Love Song and Everytime) but thought it'd be more rewarding to go for less obvious choices.

Viva forever is my favourite song of all time, the music, the lyrics, the nostalgia and memories I don't think any other song will ever beat it for me! :wub:

I loved every single song in my top 12, Ru Paul was a great discovery never heard it before but so catchy (not totally sure it was a ballad or midtempo but ok lol).

The Taylor Swift one I remember from last AF Idol and I fell in love with the song (alongside discovering and Ellie Goulding Lost and found in the same round I think) and I've revisited (both) many times since!

First time for Taylor and Katy getting a vote from me :yahoo:

I wouldn't say I loved any of these to the extent of the top 12 so that made it easy enough to separate them. However there were some great discoveries here Ariana Grande in particular was a beautiful track. I also really enjoyed the Ava Max track.

First time Rihanna hasn't made it but I think it was the wrong choice personally when she had Take a bow or Diamonds there for the taking, still a nice enough track.

Take That's choice was very poor when they have so many fantastic ballads Shine, Patience, Back for good, She's the one, Eternity, The Road to Mandalay, You know me... all the mentioned ones would have been in my top 12.
