Yeah it's a terrible app that loads of people have been using and it is meant to 'tidy up' old pictures, but honestly it just makes it all look awful and the faces of the people in the picture always look deformed/like someone else...

Wish it would just go away

A documentary about the Spice Girls is coming to Channel 4.

Titled Spice Girls: How Girl Power Changed Britain, using hundreds of hours of archive footage and revealing interviews, the series tells the complete story of the best-selling girl band of all time.

The show will start on Channel 4 on Tuesday, 14 September at 9PM.

Channel 4 tease: "Starting from the group’s formation in the mid ‘90s amidst the backdrop of ‘ladette culture’, right through to the recent world tour during the time of the #metoo movement, this series examines how modern feminism has evolved through the life story and events that have surrounded the five members of the group."

Alisa Pomeroy, Channel 4 Commissioning Editor Documentaries said: “The idea of using the story of the supremely popular and mould-breaking Spice Girls to make a multi-layered social history series was too good to pass up.

"The Spice Girls mirrored and influenced a generation of women and now, nearly 30 years since their formation, their story sheds light on the coming of age of modern feminism in ways we can fully appreciate for the first time.”

The series will be made by the directing team behind the multi award winning Jade: The Reality Star Who Changed Britain, Rob Coldstream and Clare Cameron.

Clare Cameron, Series Editor 72 Films added: “Little did I know when I saw them perform live in Sheffield as a teenager, that I’d have the opportunity to make a series about one of the most iconic pop groups of our time and their impact on young women all over the world.

"Following the incredible stories of the band members is an exciting way of exploring the changing story of feminism over the last 25 years."

Spice Girls: How Girl Power Changed Britain will air on Channel 4 and All 4 from Tuesday, 14 September at 9PM.

Great, thank you for sharing. Sounds like the right direction for a Spice Girls doc-series and really tap into the cultural relevance of their impact in the music industry, feminism and equality.

Thank god. I could not stand another 'and then we met Emma at the station and a few weeks later we stole all the demos and ran away in Geri's car. Did you know that Geri cant drive? And we shared beds back then' type of documentary ^_^

"We all met on this roundabout, literally Geri had parked on the roundabout and was waving at us"

“When Geri left she said bye girls, girls I’m gonna say bye “

I don't mind hearing their story from them, it's when a documentary has Andi Peters or one of the Saturdays pop up to say 2 sentences of nothingness I think God why.

I'm pretty sure this documentary will have that tbh. Some famous fans and some magazine / newspaper / industry people from the time.

I guarantee Nicki Chapman will be on it she milks that cow with everything she has...

I'm hoping it's more feminism commentators and more intellectuals than Gemma Collins.
Yeah, I hope it is not just really tacky celebs doing it...

Looks great and glad they are addressing the sudden backlash from late 1997 onwards! Get those sexist men in line!!!

Finally, a doc addressing the evilest Vicky B, the poor Gingerella, and the two stepsisters.

Please, give Victoria an Oscar, and release Spice World in all streaming platforms already. Queen B.
