Amazon exclusives drop all the time I'm pretty sure, the only ones that ever crack the top 100 are the Christmas songs. The whole Alexa meme was that Amazon exclusive songs were being overrepresented by people asking Alexa to 'play Christmas music', it's not meant to be synonymous with / delegitimising Amazon Music as a platform entirely lol ~

 

(Spotify and Apple also frequently have exclusive songs, usually also just covers or alternate versions of more widely available songs)

That'll be how the song is credited by the label, that's what the OCC go by

I’m actually cool with the guys that released that song (J9 x Switch).

 

Although the mistake wasn’t necessarily their fault, they were getting angry calls from JLS’ management/lawyers trying to sort out the situation. I guess the agreement was that JLS would own a big percentage (50%+) of the song or something like that.

Thats crazy, never anything like this, I'm a Drake-hater but someone doing 1,1 million vs someone doing 500K and being even doesn't add up... it's not 100K away, it's 600K away...

Yesterday's update was missing 2 days of Amazon physicals, today's update has caught up so that may explain Iron Maiden increasing their lead.

Looks like Ed’s gonna stay at number 1 for an 11th week. He always finds a way, I can only assume he’s miles ahead on iTunes/Amazon plus there’s a few remixes of it (Meduza and Joel Corry) that are outside the top 200 on apple and Spotify but could still be contributing towards his sales.

But he’s ACR after this? So the last week for Bad Habits at least?

It should be a criminal offence to hijack the charts like Ed Sheeran has. Can't anyone 'cancel' him to deny him #1?

I think because streams of the songs are at present counting towards the chart position of both albums eg if I play one of the remixes, it also counts towards original Chromatica Sales.

It's not hijacking it, just nobody else is selling more. If another artist with his profile was releasing music now there'd be more of a battle but they aren't.
