Posted October 5, 20213 yr With vinyl released becoming more and more popular these days and Sugababes releasing One Touch this week, I was wondering, do we think there is any possibility Girls Aloud will release their albums on vinyl in the feature? I think it would be a lot of sense with them having quite the dedicated fanbase who will surely go after them. It could also be a nice way to celebrate the 20th anniversary next year, especially since a tour or potential new music isn't possible anymore.
October 5, 20213 yr I think so! The 20th anniversary seems like a great opportunity for it as mentioned. Plastic Pop Records, who have been pressing Sophie Ellis-Bextor records, could be an alternative route if not - I know I was very quick to request 'Tangled Up' when they were taking suggestions for future products anyway :kink: there definitely seems to be a vinyl market for pop fans, Urban Outfitters have tapped into it really well overseas, then here look how quickly Kylie's vinyl gets snapped up for instance or the midweek top 10 position for Sugababes for an album pre-2.0 success! I am speaking this into existence anyway as 'Tangled Up' is probably top of my wish-list <3
October 5, 20213 yr They should get the albums out on vinyl as fan's would love it and with vinyl so popular fans should have the option to gave the albums as part of their vinyl collection.
October 5, 20213 yr I truly hope so! They're amongst my most desired music items. Tangled Up on vinyl would be a complete :cheeseblock: moment!! The 20th anniversary seems like the ideal moment to do it, and a nice way for dedicated fans to celebrate. My only reservation about studio albums being pressed is that these wouldn't involve Something Kinda Ooooh and Something New. I need Something Kinda Ooooh on vinyl!! (Granted we have Something New on a 7" single). I wish there had been a Ten vinyl pressing.
October 6, 20213 yr Maybe a vinyl pressing of Ten they might do first if they do end up releasing vinyl.
October 6, 20213 yr Author Plastic Pop Records, who have been pressing Sophie Ellis-Bextor records, could be an alternative route if not - I know I was very quick to request 'Tangled Up' when they were taking suggestions for future products anyway :kink: That would be an awesome idea as well. I order the Read My Lips one and while ago and they did such a good job  We do indeed need Tangled Up, my only worry is THAT cover. Fingers crossed they use the fan edition cover.
October 13, 20213 yr I hope in time, the label or Sarah's family release wear it like a crown on vinyl, id really like to have it as a memoir as at a later point it could be a nice tribute to Sarah.
October 13, 20213 yr A physical would be a lovely memoir to have for fans to have in their collection. I hope in time, the label or Sarah's family release wear it like a crown on vinyl, id really like to have it as a memoir as at a later point it could be a nice tribute to Sarah. A memoir is a historical account/a biography. You both mean memento :teresa:
October 13, 20213 yr Memento is the correct description, my head says it will never happen, but my heart wants it. Edited October 13, 20213 yr by pippa
