Honestly some people are obsessed in not a very healthy way... That mug will probably retail at around £15 tops in a few weeks... silly them
  • 2 weeks later...

One thing I never understood is to why they never released how much the Spiceworld 1998 Tour sold in total. All we have the USA dates' 60million figure... Surely they did another at least 40million across Canada and Europe?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highe...g_concert_tours

Surely if they did it, they could actually brag about being in the TOP10 of music tours of the 1990s, above some absolutely iconic tours from the likes of Madonna (Blond Ambition & The Girlie Show tour), Shania Twain's Come On Over and even Michael Jackson's Dangerous Tour.

For their first tour, it is pretty impressive. And that they went straight up to Stadiums too was a victory lap! They should shout about it for the Spiceworld25 celebrations :cheer:

Release a live CD girls, come on!! :w00t:

On their Instagram they just shared the 360 version of the Wannabe lyric video but they hashtagged #ByeSpice25 #HiSpiceworld25

Bring it on! :cheer:

Bring it girls! And please, don't forget:

Unexpected/unheard demos and unreleased tracks!!

Vinyl formats

AT LEAST 2 CD formats (a Standard one since Spiceworld hasnt been in print on CD + a special one like the Spice25)

You can skip the multiple cassettes formats, but maybe one would be cute

And then a tour announcement!

They can skip the merch too, if all we get is more t-shirts and hoodies! Im not wasting my money on that this time. Hell, I didnt even get any of the Wannabe25 or the Spice25 merch (apart from the Baby and Scary vinyl plate thingy).

The question is though, is this forum ready for this? As far as we know, they will be announcing things soon, and there's always drama about the designs/logos, etc. Personally, I dont care about if the font of the logo is slightly different, as long as it looks good and a new take on the original.

FINAL TAKE: please please please do some promo. It was embarassing that nothing was done for Spice25! Such a missed opportunity for such an iconic album...

I'm here for the mess though :P

That's not accurate. Melanie promoted Spice 25 while she was in the US.

I think you know what I meant, which is the GROUP to promote it. A couple of Instagram posts across 4 of the girls plus a few Mel C menmtions in interviews isnt enough!

Also, 'Mel C promoted it in the US whilst she was doing a US dance competition' is giving Forever (Emma and Victoria in the US, Mel B is in Asia and Mel C is not bothered, the group clearly not that bothered) 'promo'. She had good intentions, and good for her, but we need to group to do more.

I look forward to seeing what they come up with, especially reading everyone's opinions on all of it.

I hope we get Step To Me on Spotify. And even the live version too (from TFI Friday).

Whatever we get.... There should be lots to talk about!

The biggest question for me is...how much unreleased material could there really be from this era? They seemingly had no other fresh material to use as b-sides for Stop and Viva Forever...and Spice Invaders is as obvious a "just run into the studio and come up with literally anything" situation as they come for the Spice Up Your Life b-side.

Can't Stay Tonight is from this era...but did we ever get confirmation that anyone besides Mel C got around to taking part in a demo?

We know Stannard was listening to Likely Stories (See You Next Tuesday) in the lead-up to Spice25. It makes me wonder if they might have held over that song from the Spice recording sessions for Spiceworld25...just for lack of material.

I think a song called Dingeling shows up on ASCAP from this era. But I don't think the girls or their producers have ever mentioned it. Mel B's early copy of the Spice Up Your Life single had Strong Enough on it...but I don't think that song's really screaming for an official release.

My guess is we'll likely get Walk Of Life and Step To Me...and maybe Sound Off? I guess they could include the studio version of Leader of the Gang, but that calls into question if they want to drudge up the Gary Glitter connection again.

Really hope they up the game with this one and have at the very least 3 unreleased songs, 1 for Spice was just not enough. And yes we 100% need Step To Me on streaming!

During the Spice25 release, Biff did a live insta Q&A with fans and mentioned that there were many more demos from the Spiceworld sessions than for Spice. Not sure as to why none of those surfaced for Stop and Viva Forever singles, but I guess it was cos the girls didnt have time to finish any of them?

c**t was not 'held back' from Spice25, it was vetoed as mentioned by Mel C and Biff, for being not right for the publication as it was too rude. I dont know exactly why as that is all they mentioned, and they said that they would love to find ways to release it in the future.

Spice Invaders is super cute and anarchic for a pop act. I love it and it always felt more like a fun track than a rushed job to me.

He also mentioned that the demo for Viva Forever was just the girls and a guitar and I NEED THIS!!

Forgot about Dingeling!! I am going to update the Demos and Rareties list here on the forum!!

No Leader of the Gang please!! They would simply be sending royalties to that pedophile.

To be fair, I'm not sure how much unreleased material exists for Spiceworld - for the Stop singles they had to resort to live versions and for Viva Forever they had no b-sides. So I think there might be little unreleased material from Spiceworld considering how quickly it was recorded.

Spice Invaders is one of the worst ever songs I have ever heard, if not the worst. It was just improvised filler, over the cheapest beat that they could find. "Can I get the Indian bit again?" My GOD!

Anything else negative for you to spill over the forum? It seems like every single comment is basically this type of crap. Take a day off hun x

c**t was a song?!

What about Walk Of Life/ Walk of Life/ Walk of Life/ Walk of Life with Billie Piper?? They should have relessed ir for a 10th and final 1-week floppy no.1 in December. Do we have any recordings of that? :o

But yes, they were flat out of idras by Spicyworld. Unlikely they have spare material, particularly given the B sides.
