Hopefully this week though!! The funeral is today and hopefully the state-demanded 'mourning period' will be over by tomorrow, so we can move on with our lives and have some fun for once :teresa:

There's only a little over 6 weeks to go until the supposed release date of 4th November. Spice 25 had over 8 weeks of being on pre-order.

It needs to be today or tomorrow tbh. I think everyone is ready to get back to normal life and start enjoying themselves again.

Universal Music Malaysia just put the following listings:

 

Exclusive Vinyl - The first LP contains the original ten song album, whilst the second album contains a selection of live recordings, some previously unreleased

 

Exclusive Colour Vinyl - The original ten song album, available in coloured vinyl for the very first time.

 

Picture Disc - The original ten song album, available in picture disc format for the very first time.

 

CD & Hardback Book - Set is in A5 hardback booklet packaging, with a collection of iconic images of the quintet plus a brand new message from the Girls. This is housed in a slipcase, reproducing the same format that was so successful for our 25th anniversary edition of the debut album ‘Spice’, and will encourage fans to collect the set.

 

I GOTTA SAY that as much as I am interested in the Exclusive vinyl and the CD, I am not much hopeful for the inclusion of any demos/unreleased...

 

Hopefully that Exclusive vinyl means that the live tracks will be mostly on the vinyl, and they will include other incentives in the CD, but damn...

 

If after all of that tease and we don’t get Step To Me….

I think the Step To Me is secured, as there have been reports of merch with the Step To Me branding, BUT I wouldn't be surprised if it was only a live recording :blush:

 

If they dont do any unreleased music, Im not buying most of it, sorry... I will get the CD and the exclusive vinyl and that will be it...

I was told a while ago that they were struggling to sort the rights to Step to me, so they may have had to go with a live version.

 

Will reserve full judgement until the full tracklisting is released. Defo less formats as I was told (though I expect a cassette will be a store exclusive too).

If the bonus disc is just live tracks… that’ll be beyond disappointing! Plus it says “some previously unreleased” in relation to the live tracks? So that suggests some could be previously released i.e. it could be live tracks we already have from Stop, Viva Forever and Goodbye CDs?

 

Ok I’ll try not to panic but I am lowering my expectations massively…

I don't know the ins and outs of the contract or the rights but it has been a loooooong time they have been trying to sort the rights to Step to me. It was going to be a stand alone release with Move over live too but everything was very complicated.

 

I think Jay can confirm they got someone connected to popjustice to sort the orinigal artwork cover for its digital release that never happened.

Ironically I would actually buy the individual Spiceworld ones (especially if they did each girl in a letter) and I didn't the Spice ones.
