The movie gets more traction than anything that isn't Wannabe these days. It still gets regular showings in small theatres and events.

 

When the fans celebrated its 20th anniversary I think it was by getting it back in cinemas (you had to have enough people to buy tickets beforehand to get it screened at most cinemas) it actually made the UK box office top 10 again.

:wub: I loved going to see it at a cinema in 2017 because I missed out on doing so as a kid. It was a fun occasion so it would be great if it could happen again. Though I'd really love a Blu-Ray of it.

yeah i’d be happy for it to be rereleased again, I saw it in the cinema in 2017 too and was great, hopefully they can add a few deleted scenes that would be great

Well at least they finally got the memo that dropping the SW25 globe and then ignoring it and carrying on like nothing happened was just a really awful way to kill your own hype.

^ Sadly so true! I wish we knew whether it's a matter of days or weeks away. All I can think to base it on is that Spice 25 pre-orders went up on 31st August 2021. If we don't get Spiceworld 25 pre-orders until the end of August, then who knows why they'd tease it in the middle of July. Oh well, let's keep waiting. 🤓

Some people thought they dropped the SW25 globe so early to coincide with that telescope launch that happened the same day probably hoping to get a viral hit from it. If that is the case it was dumb, I don't have any better explanation as to why they dropped it so early.
