ArrDee looks like he's set to stay with Flowers (Say My Name) looking safe for a top 10 position come Friday. This is even lazier than usually, sampling not just one already overused hit but two with interpolations of Sweet Female Attitude's 'Flowers' and Destiny's Child's 'Say My Name'.

 

I don't think he is referring to a previous job as a timber merchant in the chorus either. :mellow:

 

I like how 'it does what it says on the tin' though by sampling the two songs mentioned in the title!

I like Arrdee and want him to keep having hits but yep this is lazy - it would have been fine if that Nathan Dawe track hadn't been so massive just last year. Suppose he's honest about being a casanova rather than a boyfriend at his young age mind!

This is one of the worst songs I've ever heard. It's unbelievably lazy and that lyric in the chorus is just so meh, it's the sort of thing you'd expect a 10 year old to sing because they found it funny :/

I could ironically get behind Oliver Twist for being amazingly naff for a couple of weeks but nah this is just plain rubbish.

Interview with Arrdee on the Official charts website - says that 'Flowers' lyrically is deliberately controversial as that is what the TikTok generation wants but respectful too, hints very strongly at a collboration with Raye and that there will probably be an album very soon much to the delight of most of Buzzjack.

Not sure what's worse - lazily ripping off better songs to replace for a hook of their own, the "hilarious" innuendo or the lyrics glamourising that dodgy kind of lifestyle. Good to know there's still quality in the charts!

Maybe to make up for the sensitivity around the title of his latest release, Arrdee has released a remix of 'Flowers' with Lil Tecca of 'Ransom' fame. It's not very good....
