Throughout her career spanning a number of decades, Madonna has given us a wealth of ballads and uptempo songs (bops!). But do you prefer when Madonna is slower and more restrained, or when she is all-guns blazing and dancefloor ready? What does she do a better job at?

Typically, do you prefer Madonna's ballads or her bops - give examples if you wish to!

Possibly I prefer her ballads with a small margin over 80s catchy pop tunes.

I love that she has both but i must admit all my faves are her ballads!!

I don't know, in my head I think bops but some of her ballads are so amazing and up there with her very best.

Madonna can actually emote really well in her ballads, I don't really think she gets enough credit for that.

Both!

My faves are a combination. She can excel at both… and indeed she can make me cringe with both too

Both! I think overall she's better at uptempo

but her ballads can be amazing and give you goosebumps (ie Live to Tell)

I also think she's good at mid tempo like Frozen, which is not a ballad but not a bop either

I truly love them both. They are both amazing song.

Hmm I think she is exceptional at both. I guess uptempo she has more highlights in but her ballads are just a thing of beauty. 'The Power of Goodbye' especially. I would've included 'Frozen' too obviously but it's not a complete ballad as has been pointed out.

Can't really pick one over the other.
